SOURCE: Microsoft wireless keyboard

Turns out when I stored the keyboard, the batteries leaked. I had to unscrew the back plate and clean out the residue left from the batteries so the contacts worked properly. It was not exactly easy but I did get it working. You have to be careful opening the back as the rubberized cutouts that back the keys will want to fall out. Make sure you replace everything just right or else your keys will not operate properly and you will have to undo and redo the whole thing over again! Watch out especially for the rubber backing the upper keys (numbers and specials). Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Wireless keyboard wont work!

Once the batteries are replaced, you need to "reconnect" your devices. Under the keyboard, there's a "Connect" button. Press it, then press the "Connect" button on the receiver that connects to your computer. That should get it going again.

Replace batteries

On a wireless keyboard it's on the bottom. On a wireless mouse, its the same, possibly a button to release the top to replace the battery. OR look at the manual on the specific model.
Good luck

Why would my delete button not work

It's possible that your battery is low if this is a wireless keyboard and mouse. Wireless keyboards start acting erratically when the battery starts to go dead. Replace the batteries and then let me know if that helps.

Fcp logic wireless keyboard A1016 stopped working

Sounds like the keyboard is bad because its eating batteries up to quickly. I would probably try a good quality battery like Duracell or Energizer. If you were already using those then don't buy any. If you haven't tried those batteries then try those and see if the same thing happens, if it does then you know the keyboard would have to be replaced.

My gut feeling is when you saw the swollen battery inside of your keyboard then that was the begininng of the keyboard going bad.

Wireless keyboard will not reactivate when battery was replaced.

Besides replacing the batteries, you need to resynchronize the wireless connection for the keyboard to your computer.

To do this, press the "Connect" button under the keyboard, then press the "Connect" button on your receiver that connects to your computer. That should bring the keyboard back to life.
