I have a Dell E173FP monitor i have managed to download the driver onto CD but i can't remember how to install it. The monitor is on the default, the properties is not highlighted so i can't update it. Can you help me reinstall the driver 'os these low graphics (640x640) are not only doing my head in but i can't set up my broadband.

Modern: there is no driver for vista. Original ones are piece of c.r.a.p. (force 75MHz and you cant set native res for this screen (1440x900)).
This monitor donw want to work with ATI X1900GT.

you can set a resolution of 1440*900..
option 1) open device manager,, update the drivers for standard vga card.. locate ur video drivers folder,,(do it manually even if u have it on cd)...
option 2) this one is bit risky.... open add new hardware wizard and add ur correct video adapter, no matter ur standard display adapter is already installed. after you finish, update ur original standard display adapter and this time, it will pick the correct drivers.. now you can remove your dumb display adapter and restar pc .
risk is- be very careful, u dont want to remove your physical adapter by mistake, resulting no video after a restart.
