Toner depleted We replaced toner bottle, the copier reads that the new bottle is depleted.

The sensor is dirty or damaged cleans or replaces. This is not reset.

The wast toner is placed next (next) to the first tray.
To reach there open the front door and you will see a screw (placed on top toward the main swith).
After unscrew you will be able to open a small door that hides the waste toner bottle.
Be careful because it is a little messy.

I believe that you closed all the doors properly...

Well, this may happen because off several things.

I can give you some tips (by steps):

- First you have to make sure that the toner bottle spins (if that doenst happen it could be a faulty clutch).
- Than you need to see if the tonner supply (the green handel that you place the toner) are good.
- After that you just have the TD sensor. This sensor is on the Developement Unit.

Well, i am just giving you a clue. If you do not have thecnical knoledge i advise you to call your provider.

SOURCE: after empying the waste toner bottle, the same waste toner bottle error still reigns on the copier screen.

The copier uses a photo sensor to determine when to replace the bottle. If the inside of the bottle is covered with toner, it thinks the bottle is still full. There should be a projection on the back of the bottle that fits into the sensor. You can try to clean the inside of the projection, but don't use any kind of liquid, use a dry cloth. You may have to buy another bottle. New ones should come with the toner. dood luck.

I have a Ricoh Aficio 1013F that has a about 65000 copy count. I replaced the drum/imaging unit a few months ago. recently, we stupidly let the machine run a week or so while it was calling for a toner...


I think you will have to reset it ..and the procedure to follow is this..
take it slow and be sure it is the correct one ..If it seam not to work try again ..
Press "clear mode" key then enter107 then press and hold down "clear/stop" key, touch on screen for "copy" then press 5992 hit enter, touch 0 to print out the standard setting list, turn off the copier when you finish.

Ricoh MP 2851 has toner depleted fault. Toner bottle was replaced and fault remains. Replaced with a 2nd Toner bottle, fault remains.

I have a Ricoh aficio 2018D problem is SC390 Code i reples PCU Unit Lower unit/Drum & Developer but sc390 code problem not solw. Please help Me.


The TD sensor is reading an abnormal value, this could happen if no toner is getting into the developer unit or it could be a bad TD connection or TD failure. Would suggest checking to see if the toner supply path is working first.

Check that the toner bottle is empty and most of the toner in the development unit is depleted.Add a new bottle of toner, run a forced toner until it looks good, then run td initialization.

Loud rattling from the back of the copier when printing - quality is still fine and machine fully functional


Chances are it's one of two things:

1. Your fuser bearings are going bad. This can cause a repetitive clicking emanating from the upper, left-hand side of the copier. Eventually it will cause the heat rollers to seize up and jams will occur in the fuser. If this is the case you will most likely need a service tech that's familiar with these copiers replace the bearings, or you'll have to replace the fuser.

2. ARM550's have a poorly designed toner/waste toner bottle setup. The waste toner section was reduced in size to allow more room for toner, but the waste section can over fill before the toner bottle is fully depleted. If you have a nearly empty bottle of toner, there's waste toner showing up inside the machine (in drawers, inside the front door, etc.) and the clicking is central to the machine, chances are this is your problem.

Before the clicking gets chronic and the unit jams up, it would be best to replace the toner bottle with a new unit.

Replaced Konica 7022 toner and add toner light stays on


Remove the toner bottle carefully, pwr off and unplug the machine , then plug it in and turn it on do not put toner bottle into machine until asked for.

Message says to add toner after I replace toner


Plunger from the top of the previous bottle is probably still stuck in the machine. Remove the toner bottle and check/remove .

Sharp al1631 copier, copys are too Dim settings don't help ?


Check the toner supply, it may be running out of toner. Check the bottle or cartridge for correct install. Turn the machine on and let it warm up, Recheck the copy quality. If it is still light run a dozen blank copies, then a test copy if it is improving the toner is depleted and need to catch up, if it isn't there may be a problem with the toner add system.

This could be a easy fix for you. Did you just add a new toner? If so, try this..... Remove the new toner bottle CAREFULLY, mahe sure the hole in the bottle is in the upward position. Once you have removed the bottle, Close the front door and turn the copier OFF then back On. Let the copier come to ready and reinstall the toner agian as it is displayed on the front cover or box. Then close the front door and try to make a copy. It should work for you... If not you most likely have a problem with the toner motor or the home position sensor for the toner bottle. You may have to call a service rep. to handle that problem. Good Luck...
