It is the resident problem in this model and P990i u can do one thing actually it is memory shortage problem the RAM they provided is too small and it cant accomodate much requests as more programs u load one after another and the others u dont close remain in memory

u can get swiss manager it is a mem management program if u get it u will never face problems again and it will never restart just go to this site and install it on ur pda and configure for better performance it will give new life to it i bet

Hi, my phone galaxy pocket keeps restarting itself.. I've tried to factory reset and format all my files but its still restarting. What should I do?

Can you tell if maybe the power button is stuck down? It might be jammed so it is always pushed. You might want to try opening the phone up and checking if there is anything wrong with the power button or cable.

My phone hang

It seems your phone is running out of memory. M600i comes with 60 to 80 MBs internal memory. The phone treats larger part of the memory as RAM. And UIQ3 the OS on this phone retains the applications in its RAM once it is opened till you go to Task manager and press exit program. Thus, phone has no other option but to restart to free some memory and show the above message. In your case as you've said the phone restarts after few seconds try this as soon as it starts and home screen appears:-
  • press (use the jog dial {wheel} and the star key) >*<<*<* (thats:- up*down down*down*) service menu will appear
  • choose format/restore phone settings whichever applies to your phone enter the security code by default it is (12345). It will format the phone's internal memory which is also used as RAM in M600i. The error message "the phone was restarted to improve performance" appears when there is no more free memory left in the phone's internal memory. Try this and post the result.
