Question about Cuisinart DLC-10S Pro Classic Food Processor
How do you install the stem cover on a cuisinart food processor? I managed to get the old one off, but the new one binds up about 1/2 inch before it is fully seated. It appears that there are metal ribs on the stem that cut into the stem cover and help secure it, but I find I need to pound the new stem cover on with a hammer, and I am afraid of breaking something.
What is the proper installation process?
I was able to replace my pieces thru Small appliance.com I ordered new parts and the directions on how to remove the old stem and put the new one on.
Put a little vaseline in the rim of the new stem. Use a wooden block and a hammer or rubber mallet and lightly tap the new one into place.
Cuisinart called two weeks after the fact to say I have to send them the machine.....
