If the Video (Picture/Pix) is gone but you can hear the Audio (sound), then it could mean the YSUS PCB Assembly is gone/kaput/finish. Can replace the PCB, not repair the PCB due to timing circuitry involve. Cost maybe roughly $500 depending where you located. The PCB is located on the left hand side of your TV when you are facing the back (Back open). Might find 3-4 brown flex membrane connecting to the plasma panel. The PCB has a silver or black aluminum heatsink (big) on it.

Some TV models require an input signal for it to work..Before you look to replace the ballast, try plugging in your cable service or a DVD/VCR/CD and see if this activates the TV...
Hope that helps..

SOURCE: I HAVE LG PROJECTION TV
Normally when this happens, this is because of the power supply board is going threw some abnormal fluctuation. i would check this board for minor solder breakage.

It is easily changed yourself; take the access door off where the lamp is, then two phillips screws on the lamp. Get the old one out before you go and buy a new one to make sure you can do it.
