Breaker helps from burning the motor. Just try using another power outlet as the one you are using may begetting over loaded.

Cuisinart CB 1400: motor won't engage. Blades turn (not frozen), power light comes on, but blender, pulse, or other functions don't work. Suggestions?

If the power light is on and the motor is not running the circuit board that starts the motor is defective. You could try to bypass the control board and apply power directly to the motor to verify the motor is ok and no blown fuse or circuit breaker. then you get to replace the circuit board or isolate a failing component on the circuit board.

I have a Vita Mix 3600. I was making a fruit smoothie (banana, blueberry, raspberry), milk, small scoop of protein powder . Speed was on 1. I depressed the lever to reverse. I don't remember if I had...

Yes that is strange, if you let it cool down and try it again with pushing the re-set button and still does not work, try plugging it into a different outlet. Find something in your place that you know outlet is working, lamp, toaster you know. If does work in another out let, then you of course griped that breaker. Then check your breaker box to see what breaker is tripped, and switch it back on, might just of had a power surge based on putting on reverse. If that don't work, I suppose possibly something in motor or switch went out. Please let me know, if it works, I will take a banana smoothie LOL

My Oster blender is leaking oil. Is it safe to use? How do I get it to stop leaking? I haven't used it since last Thanksgiving, so it has been about a year since the last use.

There is a great guy on Gerrard street in Toronto, who can fix mixer grinders and has parts also like breaker/reset switch etc.
The store is called Appliances 220, Ph # 416-778-9908.
Hope this helps.

Blender died while in use n hasnt worked ever since

As long as you know the plug still had power. Make sure it wasn't a GFI that was tripped. Something inside the unit must have either lost contact or burned up. Did you smell anything burning electrically?

My nblender just stop working, power in was good, no reaction.

Switch must be bad, remove the four screws on the bottom they are under the feet, then check switches, and replace broken one.

My rarely used Sunbeam Blender Model #4181 stopped working

It sounds like one of a number of things...

* The contacts in the switches fried
* The motor itself fried
* The controller section fried

If you saw smoke, something fried... probably cheaper to simply replace the unit. Even if it still worked, it's a 120V electric appliance used with liquids, and I wouldn't trust it... I'd hate to hear that your blender started a kitchen fire.

Stopped working

i had the same problem after only one month, took in back to walmart and they would do nothing. i love the big heavy glass jar on this model so i baught another on thinking i broke it some how and guess what, the second one stopped after one and a half months. called around and no one would do anything for me, company sucks, i took the bottom cover off the blender to expose the problem and there is a problem with the curcuit board and built in breaker. i ripped out all the speed buttons and curcuit board and just wired in a on/off switch to the motor. works great again. i still had a extra broken blender so i took a old chain saw i had and turned that one into a gas powered blender. problem solved, any questions please feel free to ask.

My hand mixer stopped working.

Have you tried greasing it near the blade. I read in my instruction book that sometimes they seize if they aren't used often. They also suggest trying to soak the wand in a pot of hot water for a minute or two and then trying to use it in the water. Hope this helps
