Question about HP f2105 21" LCD Monitor
How can i open the body or case to repair of hp vp15 lcd monitor
Please check first if your LCD monitor is still under Warranty period, if yes, then I recommend to bring the unit to authorized service center to properly diagnose & fix the problem, because if you open it yourself & probably broken its seal then the Warranty will be Void & other problem/s that may arise / found will no longer be covered by their free service / part replacement.
If no longer covered by a Warranty, then you can open it by yourself, by turning (counterclockwise) its lock screws to open its back cover & check the circuit board parts / connections if loose/broken/defective. regards

well being as how i just did this five minutes ago I can help:) The back of the monitor has a thin panel like a sideways 8 or a bean shape...this pops off then you have to take out the screws holding on the base once you get that off you can lay the monitor flat <carefully> and pop the outer black frame off <every so often along the seam you will see little gaps stick a thin flathead in if it's to tight for you carefully not to scratch or break it is plastic!> then you will see the metal case and find the screws on the sides and your there! Good luck!

Tips for a great answer:
The most likely cause for this is a damaged or defective flexible ribbon cable that connects the LCD to the camera body and can be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired by a qualified service technician.
My name is Rick and I'm a professional repair technician with over 20 years in the business and have repaired many of these. I'm semi retired and work from home with little overhead so I can keep repair costs low. If you decide to have the camera repaired, please click HERE for a directory listing that suits your needs.
If this response has been of any help to you, please be sure and give a positive vote for me on FixYa.com.
