How to make it run faster

If your computer has less than 1Gb RAM then install more RAM will help.

If you have a virus program installed, it is most likely is running a scan on your hard disk. It can slow down your computer especially if you have a large hard drive.
To make your computer (hard disk) lean and mean, uninstall any programs you do not use.
Also you need to maintain your hard disk by running Disk Cleanup this will remove old temp files and old compressed files etc.
This will reduce the number of files the virus scanner has to scan. Plus running Defrag. this makes your files contiguous so the system can access files off the hard drive quicker because it does not work as hard.. Disk Cleanup and Defrag should be carried out at least once a month.
If you have 512Mb of RAM installed then installing more RAM will speed up your computer. After installing your graphics card, you may need to disable the built-in graphics card in the BIOS for the new graphics card to work properly.

Message: Virtual Memory is too low. The pc is too slow to work.

You may need more RAM. Right click My Computer > General.

Or, open Control Panel > System. RAM will be noted. You can run / see Windows Experience in Win 7. Your score is based on lowest score. Check RAM score.

Win 7 works best with at least 2GB of RAM

Another trick is to disable startup programs from loading in the first place. Go to Start > Run (search in Win 7) and type MSConfig > Startup tab and uncheck anything that you don't want Windows to load automatically.

Will high density ram work on an ASUS A8N-SLI Motherboard?

Possibly not.

Your best bet is to check the website of your proposed RAM vendor and see what their configurator lists for this board, then you will know if the RAM you want works with the board.

Awaiting. Good luck.

Earlier i had ASUS P5G-MX motherboard & 2.0 GHz Core 2 duo Processor.I upgrade my Motherboard to Asus P5KL-AM/PS & then i have a black screen with my 2.0 ghz processor, But i tried 2.8 ghz Core 2...

The only Thing To Do, is view both Motherboards, user Manuals.
To see The boards CPU Support List.
It could be to do with, certain Motherboards Supporting, certain CPUs.
I.e a 533mhz cpu, would not run on a Motherboard that supports 400mhz. The Systems Bios, May cause Other Problems.
If your getting a Black Screen, is it a possible Graphics/Ram Problem, Rather Than The CPU ??

I have 256 MB RAM which is slow, can i upgrade it to 512 MB RAM

Depends completely on what motherboard the computer has and what it supports, I could check on it if you have and brand and model of the computer, or from the motherboard.

Sure the prosessor speed doesn't affect the memory amount possible don't worry about that, just need to find out how much is supported and at what speed etc.

My desktop is working very slow

you speed up your existing system by upgrading the memory to 1GB.
If you want a much faster machine then you will need to replace the motherboard, memory, PSU (power suppy) hard drive and processor.
If you change the motherboard etc you will notice the difference in speed

kind regards and please don't forget to rate us
