Question about Toshiba Computers & Internet

I cannot browse the internet again with a LAN cable

I use a toshiba sat pro L10 laptop. Before now, I do connect my LAN cable and browse on my laptop and just few days later, I could not. I tried using Tune up utility to correct some problems on my system and it complained of my ethernet controller and PCI controller having problems, I guessed this was the cause of the internet connectivity. Since then I have been trying to download the drivers for both but could not get it. I also need to download my WLAN driver because I lost it after formatting this laptop of recent. Can anyone help me get the download for these 3.

Are you using windows xp or vista ? You will need to find out what drivers you need to download first, by going to your start button and right clicking on my computer, you then scroll down the properties... when you are at properties you can goto hardware, and then to device manager....

when you are in the device manager if there are problems with a specific device or pci card such as missing drivers or incorrect drivers installed, or currupted drivers, you will see a yellow icon with a exclamation mark on it, and that indicates that there is a problem with that device beside the yellow exlamation mark.....

you must take note of the drivers, sometimes by right clicking the device in question and going to properties, and then checking the details section, as sometimes the listed name is insufficient information for tracking down the correct drivers needed to make the card or device work that is broken..

you can use the information that you found about the device needing fixing/drivers and search that on google for the operating system you need it for.... these directions are for windows xp machines...
