Question about Nokia 6101 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

Main display shows my headphone is plugged in

I have a Nokia 6101, and all of a sudden on the main display it is showing the headphones are plugged in, although I never use them.
I can't hear my phone ring nor does it vibrate now. I have tried everything and nothing seems to work. I checked all the settings and since we have 2 of the same phones I cross checked the settings and all the settings are the same on both phones I even tried plugging the headphones in and then uplugging it.I turned it off for 24 hours and still the same thing. Anyone have any idea? We love these phones and have had them for 4 years and have never had a problem with either of them until now. Thanks

either the headphone jack is bad, or the cable from the headphone pcb is disconnected. Look inside the unit and follow the cable from the headphone board and make sure it is plugged into the main pcb.

My nokia 6233 has a picture of some headphones on the display and i cannot hear anything when ringing out or recieving a call?

Some earfones are only designed to listen to the features of the fone like the radio and music player, while others are designed to answer calls and listen to music. You might have to purchase one for yourself.

I dropped my nokia 6101. then when i checked it after awhile...

Your display circuit is broken, even if the LCD-panel,
seems to be ok the display is damaged.
This is a very common problem in Nokia phones.
The only way to fix this is to change the display.
You need a T-6 Torx Skrewdriver to do the job.
You can find displays for fair price at :
