Question about Hitachi UltraVision CineForm 55VG825 55" HDTV
My Hitachi UV 60" has a redish glow in the center of the screen, everything in this glow is fuzzy. Any suggestions?
I emailed Hitachi and they sent a new light engine to my local electronics store that they do business with. All I had to pay for was the installation which was today. I did not have to pay for the part or shipping. My tv is just like new again and the red glow is gone. I did not realize how bad it had gotten. Do not call the regular customer service because they cannot or do not want to help.

I called Hitachi service and they told me...to bad they would NOT fix this problem. They told me it was there design mistake but not it was my problem. I was told if I replaced the Lamp--$300-- it would fix it. But it didn't and now Hitachi service tells me I need to replace the Red Color engine--$1,800 and it may last another 2 years before I need to replace that one. Why should anyone BUY a Hitachi TV?
