Your problem is that your output is less than normal

first you isolate h/output from power supply if it comes to normal(115V).

then problem in h/output stage

for that you check

h/output,cap & diode in flyback section & flyback transformer.

but power output is still 50v then problem in power supply for that check oscillator ckt & switching output.

good luck.

Polaroid TLX-1911C LCD TV with no picture (black screen) and sound. Which board do I replace? Power supply or Main board?

I would first check the power supply. Check the main fuse, if is blown and there was no power surge from an external source, the supply board has some serious problem. If the fuse is fine measure the output voltage of the power supply board. Check for any swollen electrolytic capacitors, they are the number one cause of every LCD failure I have come across. I just fixed a Polaroid FLM1514 which has a 2956C Ver 2.0 power board driven by a Fairchild CM0765. Turns out the VCC capacitor was bad and not even swollen, sowpped it for a 47uF 50V and presto.

My Channel Master CM-7000 D2A TV Converter box is stuck with Red Light ONLY. Does not respond to any button I press. There is no picture

This is a common problem. There are several capacitors on the power supply and logic board that are bad. Replacement of these parts has restore all units that I have looked at.

On the power supply I would replace at a minimum:
C14 - 4.7ufd 50v UPW1H4R7MDD
C4 - 1ufd 50v UPW1H010MDD
C8 - 100ufd 25v UHE1E101MED
C10 - 470ufd 16v UHE1C471MPD
C12 - 1000ufd 10v UHE1A102MPD

There are 4 others in the supply that were not grossly bad.
C1 - 22ufd 400v EEU-EE2G220
C7 - 220ufd 25v UHE1E221MPD
C11 - Same as C10
C13 - Same as C10

Logic board:
E5 - 33uf 35v EEU-FM1A471
E6 - Same as E5

Part Numbers of replacement caps are Nichicon or Panasonic.

Note: Caps on the logic board are extremely hard to replace due to the internal ground plane.

Contact me if this is beyond your skills for possible repair.

Sony kv32v15 is dead with no sounds are lights. How difficult is it to replace the power supply / power management components?

since the problem is dead set all you need is open the back cover to trouble shoot, use digital tester. check blown fuse and then power on the unit check the output voltage at power supply panel board which supply the main CRT chassis board. if no output voltage check open fusible resistor its about .1 ohm, then check shorted rectifier diode and transistor sometimes cause by voltage fluctuation. just consider also the horizontal out put transistor it might be shorted cause by over current coming from power supply.

The tv is completely dead. i check the power supply everything checks out ok, there is only 2.5 volts coming out of the supply module. the input of the computer module has the same voltage 2.5...

there may be some bad capacitors in the primary of the power supply. do you get any led lights the front? most polaroids will have a red led on the front if the standby supply is good. there will most likely be some smaller caps 47mf@50v 10mf@50v probably that value that are bad.

Power but no picture

This unit stumped me.. The reason being is that the power supply normally has 2 parts, a primary control line and then the main power supply. The purpose of the primary control line is to talk to the main control board, make sure there are no errors upon power up and then startup the set with high voltage. The problem is that the primary control portion is not working.. With that being said, it has no way to control the set for startup and initalize the processor for the video/menu. What is supposed to happen is when this is dead, the set should do nothing and the relays should be tripped going into protection fault mode. A very backwords design for failure on this unit. Anyways, replace caps c502, c503 and c521 on the main power supply unit. Replace the existing 50v .47 uf with a 1uf @ 50v to prevent the failure again. The other 2 are 47yu at 35v, I would jump the volts to 50 on that again to make sure it dosent happen. Becareful of the ps removal, the 15+ fets are screwed to the chasis and locked down do to heat, do not remove the protective coating or risk ps failure. Enjoy your tv.

No picture, No sound

Hi there!
If the set is dead after the popping sound, then it has probably blown a component due to high voltage. Everything inside a tv starts with the power supply. Nothing will work unless the power supply is 100%. I don't know what your rates for repairs are in general, but the price sounds good. The final decision is yours to repair or replace. Good Luck, JUS004

You have a power supply problem. On this set the entire board is available for exchange but it is most likely not going to be worth the repair as these boards run for about 120 to 145 bucks. Good luck
