It is due to high voltage output from flyback transformer

so please check output supply from power supply output.

if it is ok every thing will be normal.

good luck.

Horizontal line running on my GAO Panasonic

If the white line is in the middle of the screen and runs left to right the problem is in the vertical circuit of the set.

Either a bad part in that area or at the vertical output chip bad solder connections (most with this will react when set banged on side).

Note: leaving set on with only that line on screen will sooner or later burn that mark into the face of the screen--not fixable.

No horizontal and vertical deflection available:- audio OK

Check its horizontal output stage circuit. Replace damaged component/s. Vertical output stage gets its working voltage from the horizontal output transformer. If you want to get vertical deflection, this transformer, otherwise known as {LOT] should work to produce the supply voltage to vertical output stage.

Horizontal lines across TV screen Pansonic CT 35g25

Check its vertical output section circuit for any component damage or loose soldering terminals. Check the solder terminals of the vertical output IC. Resolder all the suspected solder terminals by applying al little more fresh solder, without making any solder bridge short in between adjacent solder terminals.
If this do not help you, replace the vertical output IC. Lose of Vertical Scan is the problem of your TV.

Ii have a old panasonic tv n the screen keeps jumping. How can I stop this?

Hello
The fault [vertical rolling, jumping] will be due to some value detereated electrolytic capacitors at the vertical output section of your tV. Repalce all the eelctrolytic capacitors [5 or 6 of them], on the vertcical output section on the main board.

Loss of vertical sweep

Hello
Your TVs vertical output Ic may be damaged. You just open your TV and locate the vertical section inside, usually panasonic uses Ic numbered [LA7837] which will be marked as part number IC451 on the circuit board. It is a 13 pin Ic, sometimes the number may be different in your TV, as Panasonic uses four types of LA series Ics in their sets. I think that you have some knowledge in the service field, so the complaint states only "loss of vertical sweep", and so I'm not going too deep into description. OK.

Panasonic CT-27SL15 has scan lines on top 4 inches of screen, what is problem and how to fix?

Nov 2011 - Comment
Have similar problem on a Panasonic Tau model CT-27SL15.
It's a 27" CRT TV manufactured around 2005.

Other posts / solutions on this problem say possibly a capacitor going bad in the vertical circuitry / near the vertical IC / vertical blanking circuitry. Telephone call to a TV repair person mentioned something similar - "possibly a bad capacitor in the vertical circuitry".
Found a service manual online w/schematics and board layouts.
Panasonic Service Manual
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/35219914/PANASONIC%20CT27SL15.pdf
See pg 25 (of 42) - Deflection Schematic Diagram (Main PCB)
Shows: V Output IC - IC401
Finding the actual bad component(s) may not be so easy.
Anyway ... just wanted to add this comment.

My picture on my Tv is one scrunched up line across the set

The vertical output circuit has a failure. Very likely the vertical output i.c. and perhaps some small related components. These parts are soldered in place on the main board. If you are technically inclined and able to solder you should, with a schematic & digital multimeter, be able to fix it. Otherwise locate a competent technician or consider a new unit. I wish I always had good news and a quick fix, but my car mechanic usually can't do that for me enither. Good luck.

When turned on only gets a straight line of color in middle of screen

You lost your vertical sweep. most likely the vertical output IC or a power supply source is the problem.

it is due to vertical section failure.

  • before you start any work reduce brightness to avoid crt burn.
  • please check some loose contact or loose connector.
  • check supply to vertical section
  • check parts in vertical output section
  • check vertical ic.
  • hope this will help.
  • good luck.
