Question about Sony BRAVIA KDL-40V2500 40 in. LCD HDTV
I'm currently using my hyundai plasma screen tv with my xbox 360. when connected through the av cables (ie, red, yellow and white) all is ok (all be it for lesser quality picture. But when i connect it using the hd cables (ie,red, green, blue and the audio cables) the screen is perfect. but every now and again the screen with turn black for a second and display "no signal". then the picture will come back and everything is fine again until the next time it happens. I have played for an hour before this has happened and then the next day it will happen after the first 3 minutes.
does anyone have any ideas of what the cause could be and any possible fixes.

SOURCE: Loud bang, unit stopped working
My Sony FWD-42pv1 had a similar failure, but no loud bang, just a click off. When trying to turn it on after that, the green LED would come on for a few seconds, then blink off, then repeat a few times, before finally just giving up and going to solid red.
The problem turned out to be a failed Y-SUS board. The fuse on that board was blown, and the board had also failed (replacing the fuse wasn't enough). With a new board, the TV is running fine.

SOURCE: Sony KDF-E60A20 HDTV
I purchased a new Lamp, but before I had time to install, the problem stopped occurring. I feel that this may be a lamp overheating problem due to dust or temperature and humidity within my house. I was going through power outages due to IKE at the time that this problem showed up. At least I have the replacement bulb to try if this problem shows up again.

Amongst 3 audio and 3 video options on DVD, use only one for displaying picture on TV and one for getting sound.
Yellow Wire is for picture.
Red Wire is for sound.
White Wire is for sound.
Connect Yellow from TV to yellow at DVD
Red from TV to Red at DVD
White from TV to White at DVD
Hope this help.....

I have a KDF E42A10 which is LCD projection TV. If your's is a projection TV then the blinking red light means that the projection bulb needs to be replaced. The access door is on the lower right side, fairly staight forward to remove and bulb costs about $150( varrious sourses can be found online). If yours is a Grand Wega there is a major problem that Sony is denying responseblity for. Check out a report by Googling " MSNBC problems with Sony Grand Wega". Would like to get a clas action going for KDFs.If your TV is not a projection then disregard all of the above and I can't help with your problem.
