Burned wiring harness

I have KitchenAid Model: KESH307HBL5 glass top electric stove with owen. While cooking on left front stove there was a spark...the left front &rear stove are dead. I opened and noticed the wiring on both switches is burned. What wiring harness I need for both and where Can I get them? Do I need to replace both controls too? I do not have owner's or repair manual. The control has these numbers/markings: 9751354, NL831402, 0109608, FSP, 5.2-6.6A 240V. Thank you. Harshad HarshAmi@hotmail.com

Thanks for the info. I found the switch(control) info from EasyApplianceParts.

The wirings connected to both controls are burned so I do need wire harness (Yellow, Black, Red, Orange and Brown wires)...What can be the part number for wire harness? I could not find it searching as "wiring"/"harness" etc.

Background...Only front left burner was on when my wife moved the pot...there was a spark...upon opening I saw wiring near the switches of left front and rear was burned/melted. Hard for me to tell what the cause could be...may be loose wiring or something loose in switches(?) that caused the short circuit.

Should I replace only wiring or switches too?

    Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Thank you.

To get parts you can go to Tribbles if you have one in your area or there are many online appliance parts stores. One I like because they have such a big database of part info is www.easyapplianceparts.com go there and enter whatever numbers you see on the part and it will find it alot of times. If that works then you can copy down the part info and price shop other stores. If not then you will have to enter your model number and try to find the part that way.

Owen fan always run, after plug owen in. How to stop it or reset it?

Your Fan thermostat has failed, now the cooling fan will run forever trying to cool the broken part... Look for the thermostat in the wiring diagram that is with the oven, meter it for continuity, and if it fails, use the model number to order a new part from a local part store- your model number represents nothing here in America or I would tell you the part #! Is it okay to use glass whistler tea kettle on ceramic stove top range

I've seen mixed results across the internet on this one. From personal experience, for some reason, my glass teapot left some sort of stain on my ceramic stovetop. It also took longer to heat. I then went out and bought a simple metal one and have been pretty satisfied. If cosmetics are a concern, it's not too difficult a step to pour the water into your teapot after the fact, right?

Where can i buy replacement glass top hot point cook top electric stove

Are you sure you put the right model number in? The RB526 doesn't have a glass top! Suggest you find the equipment id tag on your stove and then go to searspartsdirect.com and plug in the model number and search for the part you want.

NOTE: Sears is not usually the lowest priced place to buy from, BUT they use the real part number that you can do a search on to find a lower price. But since it is a glass cook top, sears has the in store delivery and pick up so that you can inspect for cracks and chips before accepting it.

Kitchen aid KECC507GBL3 electric 36in cooktop. Burner switch is out - cannot get glass top off. Have removed all screws from plate mountings on the sides. Is there a trick to this?

Hi,

If it’s a range, there is usually a couple of screws that hold the front of the top down, remove the screws, lift the front of the top and pull it out from the back hinges. Install the new top, make sure there are no loose wiring.
If it’s a cook top then make sure that the power to the cook top has been turned off, open the cabinet and look up. There should be a couple of brackets that secure the cook top. Remove the brackets, carefully lift the top and set it on the counter top (put a towel on the counter top first). replace the glass top (make sure there is no loose or exposed wiring), set the cook top back in the counter, secure it with brackets as was before, and double check your work.

Thanks for contacting fixya.com

Good morning; We have a new Jenn-Air black glass

Any proprietary glass top cleaner should be suitable. Avoid using a wire based scouring pad but the Scotch type 'plastic/foam' cleaning pads are ok.

I have a Kitchenaid electric range Architect Series II. Seems every time I use the large burner on the right side there is some sort of residue left that is very hard to get off. I have already made a...

What are you using to clean the stove? Only cleaners made for ceran type tops should be used according to directions. Do not use enamel coated pans or glass pans on your cooktop. If you have a boil over, turn off the burner and change to a different burner immediately. Clean up the spill completely before cooking on that burner again. Use a flat edge razor to clean tough residue. Your cooktop will look new for years to come, even with heavy use.

As far as the scratch, don't use abrasive cleaners on the top and only use pots and pans with flat bottoms. If you do use cast iron pans, never scoot them around on the top.

My front left burner on elec.range model FEFL67GCA does not work.

If it's just quit all of a sudden then I assume it's burned out.You will have to remove the glass top to get to it. The new burner has two wire connectors that plug in. CAUTION: Make sure you disconnect electrcal power to the stove before working on this!
