Toshiba Satellite 1800 Disk Drive Problem

Hi, I seem to have a problem with my laptop. When i boot it, and go past the windows 2k screen it gives me a blue error screen saying "inaccessible boot device". I assume that it is the optical drive because it seems to not read any disk's that i put in the laptop.
Any help will be greatly appreciated

There's an issue with the way yout laptop is booting, either its set to the incorrect boot device or windows cant properly access the hard disk. Take it into a PC repair centre.

I assume you are doing a System Restore/Recovery? Have you removed the HDD and tested it? Perhaps the Recovery files are corrupt/missing? A bit more info needed.

My toshiba dynabook satellite 1800 wont boot....

To fix the problem, you have to access the bios setup and set the drive that will boot first . It must be the drive where your bootable disk is located.

Laptop wont boot...it wont load past the very first boot screen where it asks you to hit f12 for boot menu and f2 for system utilities it have the windows vista OS...is there a problem with the hard drive?...

Windows is corrupt...reload Win OS....if possible re-install Windows in a different partition say D: or E: etc (if u have more than 1 partition) and then once done let it boot from that and let Win load....take a full backup of all of your critical data to a USB pen drive....then reload Win CD in the Cd drive, switch off and switch on PC let it boot from CD and delete all partition on HD, format the disk fully and repartition the disk and load Win in C:
pls leave a feedback

Toshiba a75 s-206 problems helppppppppppppppp

Sounds like a bad hard drive to me. Take out the hard drive completely from the laptop and boot up with the windows xp cd and it should go past the blinking cursor. At that point you know you'll need another hard drive.

Upgrade

You will not be able to register it as it is alread registered to the other computer, unless they are exactly alike. Then using a hard drive  backup  and restore program is the best and easiest way to do it.  Just back up the date from the XP on the restore it to the 2k one. Again .This wil only work if they are exactly alike, down to the CPU type plus.
