Question about Olympus D-535 Zoom / C370 Zoom Digital Camera

1 Answer

My olumpus XD-Picture Card is stuck in my laptop. It is the kind you pop in, and then press slightly to eject. It does not respond to being slightly pressed (pushed) to eject. I have been unable to dislodge it with tweezers, and it is a snug fit so tilting the computer does not work (gravity is useless since it is not loose).

It's fixed. I took a key-chain-size Kroger card, cut it so that it could fit into the slot under the card, put a piece of tape so that the sticky side sort of grabbed the card, took the tweezers and pushed down slightly on the top of the card while pushing up with the Kroger card, and by using these two implements pulled the card out. Someone else had the idea for the key-chain size card and tape, but it took the tweezers as well in order to grab the card & pull it out. Thanks!

Xd picture card will not click into place on Olympus e-420. Results in prompt "card reader error."

Are you sure it is a xD card and not an SDXC?

Then there should be a little arrow, pointing in the direction it should be going while inserting.
Try to eject the card and reinsert the card.
If you never used a xD card, and nobody else ever tried to put something in the slot, the card should go in smooth.
After placing the card, don't forget to format the card in the camera.

How do you remove stuck disk

If holding down the eject button on the keyboard when restarting doesn't work, then the easiest way is to insert a business card of credit card into the CD-Slot. Slide it in until it 'pops' the CD up slightly, whic release it. You can then use tweezers or similar to pull the CD gently from the laptop.

Power down the laptop and restart it. As soon as it restarts press the open button on the dvd drive and it will open. You may have to try a few times but it will work.

What.....

I think I had the same problem as you... I found it was a power issue. I needed stronger batteries. Lithiums worked well.
