Hi, i'm trying to fix a dyer. The drum in the unit disattached.

Hi, i'm trying to fix a dyer. The drum became disattached from the back of unit. Addition to this, i found that the belt snapped from it which probably was the main cause of it. Does the drum get welded/soldered in from the front of the unit after putting the belt around it? What is the best way to do this?

Hi. The telescope itself became disattached from the tripod. How do I connect it again? There seems to be a screw, but it is not screwing in tight. THanks. Maria.

The female end may be stripped. You will need to re-tap the threads, and probably also buy a replacement bolt at any well stocked hardware store.

How do I balance the drum in the dryer. I vacuumed the interior of the dyer to clean it and all was ok. When I whent to start it the motor locked up and the drum was not turning. I removed the drum belt...

Did you pull the drum out when cleaning this unit, if so the when you put it back in you got it off the wheels in the rear or the sliders/wheels on the front. Either way pull the from panel again and as you do pay close attention to how the drum is sitting on the front frame and rear supports. You may have damaged the drum, check to make sure that you didn't split the drum.

Kenmore 970 C81062 10 Electric Dyer WILL NOT

It sounds like the drum may be stuck. Turn the dryer on with the door open, just keep the button pushed. Then try to turn the drum by hand, and see if it will start to turn.

When dyer runs it makes a squealling noise like abad bearing>

Could be felt pads and nylon glides on the front drum support are deteriorated.
Could be a sticky build up on the rear drum rollers.
Could be a worn belt tension roller.

Unplug the dryer.
Remove the front panel.
Remove the front drum support.
Remove the belt and drum
Inspect the items listed above.
Replace as needed.
