Question about Harley Davidson Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Desktop Telephone
I was gone for a couple days, came back to find my 06 fatboy on it's left side with caramel colored oil under it. What or were would this of came from? My oil in the tank looks good, I am worried it is from the crankcase.
If your engine oil is fine, then it proably came out the tranny vent hose check the level if not pull clutch cover off check that level

Crankcase oil is the same oil as in the oil bag. Three possibilities: transmission fluid, primary fluid or blowback oil drained out of the air breather..

No oil in crankcase; tank, primary and tranny. find out which is empty and go from there; coffee color most likely water intrusion; either before or after the spill

It's trans fluid. It came out of the vent tube just above the primary cover on the top cover of the trans. If you look at the tube, the inside will be wet. Run the bike up to operating temp. Check upright and level.
