Caramel (coffee) colored oil

I was gone for a couple days, came back to find my 06 fatboy on it's left side with caramel colored oil under it. What or were would this of came from? My oil in the tank looks good, I am worried it is from the crankcase.

Crankcase oil is the same oil as in the oil bag. Three possibilities: transmission fluid, primary fluid or blowback oil drained out of the air breather..

No oil in crankcase; tank, primary and tranny. find out which is empty and go from there; coffee color most likely water intrusion; either before or after the spill

It's trans fluid. It came out of the vent tube just above the primary cover on the top cover of the trans. If you look at the tube, the inside will be wet. Run the bike up to operating temp. Check upright and level.

1997 Fatboy. Is there a fuse?

Hi Wade, fuse location is as follows:
Sportster-Underneath the seat or behind the left side panel.
Softail-Underneath the seat or speedometer housing.
Dyna-Behind the left side panel.
Touring-Under speedometer housing or left/right side panel.
Any under speedometer housings reference pertains to early model circuit breakers. Well you have it posted under FLHR and you say it is a fatboy. Which is it. The touring fuses are under the left side cover and the Softail fuses are under the seat.

Syntia out of service code?

If it is under warranty ,call the manufacturer .There are many causes to the service code , coffee beans ground too fine ,setting for 3 beans may be too much if the beans are small, try setting with one bean...
Valve, round cover , spring loaded , on top of brew group dirty, metal valve pin may be covered with deposits from coffee oils . check manual or call a service center , screen of bottom piston plugged with coffee oils , to silver screen plugged with coffee oils .
none of the super-automatics like oily , shiny or over roasted beans .

What is drain plug between rear shock absorbors for on 06 fatboy

Hi Chanceycoalm, you drained the transmission, replace oil with 20-24 oz. HD Transmission Lubricant. The engine oil drain plug is on the bottom of the frame tube right hand side all the way in the rear. Have nice day.

Hi, oil problems

With it sitting that long the fuel that was left in the bike probably drained into the cylinders and then down into the crankcase mixing with the oil. And the spark plugs should be a golden-brown, or a caramel color that means you are getting just the rite fuel-air mixture.

How do I change the oil on a 2002 fat boy? Where is the drain plugs?

On the fatboy, the oil drain plug should be on the right side, just under the frame, directly below the oil tank. The primary drain is on the left side under the derby cover on the bottom. The tranny drain is on the bottom towards the rear pretty much centered.
And, as our darlin' little miss piglet said, a maual is worth the investment.

Am I supposed to keep the button on the lower left side of my Bunn coffee maker in the ''on'' position all the time? If I don't, the coffee is weak and barely warm.

Yes that is the vacation switch and should be left on to allow the tank heater to keep the water at the right temperature for brewing coffee. It only needs to be turned off when you will be gone away for 4 or more days. If you do turn it off, it takes 15 min to heat the water back up to the correct temperature.
