Question about RCA DRC8295N DVD Recorder/VCR
Its the problem of the main circuit board in the unit.actually the neg.disk requires more power from the board then normal disks.the actual system is when you insert normal disk the laser lens which you called eye.that reads the normal inserted disk from siome particular distance.but when you insert neg.disk in the player ,at that time the laser lens comes more nearer to the neg.disk then normal disk.so in your player the lens is not moving more near to read the neg. disk.this is happening because of main board.as its not giving the command to the laser lens to function when neg.disk is inserted. so the error comes up as wrong type or dirty disks. in this problem on the main board sometimes there is not a single burnt spot.but internally the tracks get short.this can only be checked by multimeter.this can be easily got repqaired by a local repair center.who is familiar with electronics parts repair and knows how to use meltimeter and soldering iron.also the cost will be negligible. to much usage of the player in this same condition also makes the laser lens weak.because when ever you insert the neg.disk in the player the lens has to function.but due to main board problem the lens cannot read the disk and the pressure is applied on the lens every time.so to avoid further damage of board towards lens assembly get it repaired. this will help you. thanks.please do rate the solution.thank you for using fixya.keep updated.
