Question about Mitsubishi HS-U790 S-VHS VCR

1 Answer

Do any other VCR brands use Mitsubishi's format for index marking?

I have a Mitsubishi VCR that is starting to have issues. Do any other VCRs currently made use the same index marking for finding the starts of successive tracks?

Input selection

Many of the late VCRs have very limited funtion from the VCR buttons. Power, eject, play, perhaps channel selection, that is about it for most. I assume you don't have the manual? Looked on Mitsubishi website, didn't list a manual for your specific model, perhaps another model would be close enough. http://www.mitsubishi-tv.com/j/i/18344/OwnersGuides.html?tid=5&f1=2005&s=3 Replacement remotes here: http://www.vcrremotecontrols.com/Mfrs/Mitsubishi/MitsubishiVcr.htm

VCR will not work

If you have tryed this with your VCR then Im guessing that there is a power supply issue. In most cases, a VCR would not be worth the repair or the diagnostic fee to inform you on how much the vcr will cost to repair. If you really want to playback VCR format buy a new one with a built in DVD recorder, buy some inexpensive DVD blanks, and put those Video tape onto the DVD format and they will never ever fade.
