If there are no visible screws and no knob in the middle of the grate to unscrew you have a model which simply pulls down. If it has been up there for a while it may have been painted over so you will have to use a razor blade knife to cut through the paint around the perimeter. Once that is done, use a putty knife to carefully pry the grate away from the ceiling about one inch at a time, working your way around from side to side.

Ceiling fan not working. How do I remove the fan to see if the vent is clogged?

Usually the cover pulls down, and is suspended on wires.
Push together the wires to release cover.
Use vacuum to clean.
Dissemble using screwdriver if possible. Some newer fans are one-piece and cannot be taken apart.
See if fan turns on.
Open wire cover and inspect wires.
Use non-contact tester to see if unit has power when switch is turned on.
See if switch is good.
If fan does not turn on, then wires are loose, switch is bad, fan motor is bad.
Some fan motors are sold separately, and some are not, and whole unit has to be removed from between the joists, and new fan installed.

How do I remove the light from the ceiling?

Sent you a question on this but did not receive a reply.
If you are talking about removing the grill/globe to change bulbs, it just pulls down from the ceiling. There is a heavy "V" spring on each side that needs to be compressed to pull the grill/globe down. Once it is down as far as it will go, the springs need to be squeezed together and the ends removed from the metal box in order to take the grill/globe off. It is not necessary to remove the grill/screen completely to change bulbs.

We have a Broan/Nutone 763RLN Ceiling Fan/Light in need of cleani

The grille is held in place by the reflector. The reflector is hidden by the the lens. The first step is to remove the lens, then you will remove the light bulb. You will see one wing nut above the light socket. If you unscrew that the reflector and the grille should come down. The replacement motor assembly for the 763 RLN is the S0503B000, if you are looking for a little more power you could also purchase the S0504B000

How do I change the light bulb and/or night light for my NuTone bathroom Fan-Light Model 8663RP?

The whole cover/grill/globe pulls straight down to expose the bulbs. There are two heavy "V" springs, one opposite the other, that hold the grill to the fan box. You need to overcome the holding power of these two springs to pull the grill down. If necessary, you may want to run around the edge with a sharp knife in the event it was painted in place.

I have a thermador bathroom ceiling heater fan. Where can I get a replacement? bathroom ceiling heater Broan Product Detail

If you have the old Thermador ceiling type of heater that must be mounted on the ceiling surface there aren't many choices. Only the Broan-Nutone 154 & 157 models. The 154 @ $37 didn't seem to last too long but it's 1/3 the price of the radiant 157 model at about $100+ dollars. The radiant model may last longer

Older Nutone bath- fan/light/heater Model #9111. Light works, fan and heater do not. Must I replace the entire unit.

Most of the time is is cheeper and less time consuming to replace the unit than to find what happen to it and then order parts to repair it.
