Question about Dyson DC14 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum
I recently washed out the purple cylinder on my Dyson 14 Animal vacuum by spraying water into it to clear out the dirt and now it reeks as if it has horse manure in it. I'd cleaned it with water this way before without any issues. Is there a way to open it to figure out where this smell is coming from?
Make sure that the filter is completely dry before you reinsert it. If not, it will mildew, emitting a horrible smell. When you clean your cylinder, you must wait for at least three to four days to make sure that it is completely dry.

The best thing to do now is to wash it out with a mixture of water and vinegar. Let the mixture stay in the cylinder over night and your odor problem will be gone.
