Just bought a new magazine for my unit. It wa factory installed in my 1998 ford taurus. I load the changer then go to the inside control panel and unit comes on, all functions work, but i cant get the cd's to play. What am I doing wrong? Or is it possible tha the laser is gone? I dont have a clue. Any help is greatly appreciated

MasterMake sure the cds are the right way up.
Try listening to the cd mech to determine if the cds are being loaded.
If the mech is going through the motions then the problem could be the lens is dirty, the laser has failed or the spin motor is faulty.
if there is no sound of the cds being loaded, it could be a power supply problem. Try a reset or just unplug the changer then re connect it.
