I have a JVC CH-X11 12 disc CD changer, while I was listen to a CD the player simply stopped....I received a ERROR 8 code after that I tried to hold down the eject button to clear and eject the cartridge, but nothing happened, after a bit I decided to look at it at home, so I switched to FM, after doing that the CD button on the radio itself no longer works it will change from AM to FM but not CD... I tried the emergency eject hole on the side of the changer but again Nothing, I still have the CD I was listening to in the play position and the CD's won't come out at all. ANY IDEAS????????

Bought my daughter a used car. Inside it has the 12 disc changer (model CH-X11) with a JVC remote # KS-RF35. How do you get the CD's to play? The remote when turned on shows which CD # is to play and which track - but I have no info on how to get it to play. Any Ideas???? Please help - my daughter is driving me nuts.

Make sure the cds are the right way up.
Try listening to the cd mech to determine if the cds are being loaded.
If the mech is going through the motions then the problem could be the lens is dirty, the laser has failed or the spin motor is faulty.
if there is no sound of the cds being loaded, it could be a power supply problem. Try a reset or just unplug the changer then re connect it.

I have a jvc-x11 cd changer is it compatible with my sony MEX-BT39UW

No, it won't work. JVC changers work with JVC head units, Sony head units work with Sony changers. Even if the plugs are the same, it won't work.

How to remove cd changer

If it's a factory unit, call Ford dealership and tell them your vin and they should be able to tell you what magazine it takes. To remove, there's 2 screws at the bottom of the center console, inside next to cd player, under rubber mat.remove them and complete plastic trim, console bucket, will lift out.might have to wiggle it a little but will lift, then there's 4 screws holding bracket for cd player. Unplug and remove. You maybe able to see part number without removing player

I was a factory warranty tech for 15 years.you don't need to remove your changer, here is the solution. If your changer has 1 door that you slide to put in the magizine it has a clairion changer. If it has two smaller doors then its an alpine. If you shoot me a pic of the unit i can tell you.

Hey guys, I've just installed a CD changer in my car - having some difficulties getting it to work. After some Googling I came across this forum so I figured I'd see if any of you guys know where I'm...

there should be a small connector on the changer itself for the power ground and remote wire for power to the changer unit. the cord coming from the unit to the changer doesn't supply this power and this is why it wont eject and also your head unit wont recognize it until it gets powered up and able to communicate with the head unit and then it will show up as a selectable source when switching between sources of music. check the back of the changer for a small connector containing 3 or 4 pins and you should have a connector with the corresponding wires coming from it to plug into this spot after connecting the wires properly. if you bought it on ebay it is possible you didn't get this piece which is critical when connecting this changer.

Hello,

There is no site or organization willing to give you a stereo code for free. Some amount of money will be charged in exchange for the radio code.

Radio unlock code can be gotten from the below link:

http://www.radio-code.com/

Also the process to follow in order to successfully unlock the stereo is stated in the link.

In addition this link claims to generate stereo unlock codes for free, you can give it a trail as it might work for you.

Take care.

Jvc ch-x350 12 disc cd changer. Loads cd but will not play it. reads: no disc and moves to the next cd and repeats. ??

If you are inserting non original cds, cds you make from your pc or cd copies sometimes they dont read, another reason is to make sure that you are inserting the disk with the correct side up, it will show you in the cd changer magazine slots. If none of this solves your problem then you have a defective cd mechanism and you need to replace or repair the changer. Very common problem with JVC Cd Changers, I used to replace them all the time and they tend to skip alot as well, get yourself a Pioneer if money is ok if not then follow my steps.

Good luck and dont forget to rate and vote for me if I helped you.

Thanks.

I have a jvc 12 disc changer for my car ch-x11 and I would like to know what radio station i need to set it on for it to work?

The CH-X11 needs to be paired with a JVC CD controller. See the downloadable manual at
http://books.jvc.com/booklist.asp?Model=ch-x11
This unit does not broadcast at the lower FM band.
