Try this..entirely disconnect the battery and use a ten amp charger as a battery for the car by connecting the charger clamps to the battery cables..be careful to match the polarities red to the positive and black to negative..plug the charger in and listen for a buzzing or see if the guage on the charger pegs to full power..the buzz should show your faulty issue..(relay or switch stuck etc)..

SOURCE: battery goes dead when car sits 3-5 days 98 park ave

Obvious that something is drawing down the battery...Put a test light between the negative cable and the negative post of the battery (remove cable first) start pulling fuses till light goes out. That will tell you what system is drawing...you can then begin looking for the actual problem. If all fuses pulled and light remains on ,chances are you have an internal alternator problem.

SOURCE: 1999 Volvo S80 T6, Starts blower on its own.

If you are talking about the thermo electric cooling fan, its operation is independent of the car's electical system. It is switched on and off by the engine temperature. When you park, the engine heat soaks upward to heat the thermostat turning the fan on. It will run until the engine cools down and the thermostat switches it off.

Chrysler t&c wont shift out of park Battery was changed recently now it says apply brake to shift , break lights are on. how do I fix it

There should be a over ride slot in the dash above the shifter that allows you to override the lock out. Also check the fuses. May have blown one when changing the battery. Your manual should have this information.

Wipers won't turn off

The wiper motor is defective and needs to be replaced. Inside the wiper motor is a "Park Switch". When you turn the wipers off, the park switch sends a signal to shut the wipers off. If the park switch fails to operate then the wipers will continue to run, unless the ignition key is turned off. You will also need to inspect and test the charging system. Where you had no issue before the rain, you may only need to charge the battery. After the battery is charged it should be load tested, to be sure that it is fine. Also test the alternator and make sure that it is charging correctly (@14volts). If you need more information please write back. Good luck.

Grand Prix 2003 first no running lights tail lights or cluster lights. All fuses were good. Changed out the small box under the steering column. Not the chime box. After doing that I had running lights...

Daytime running lamps control module. Fuse #37 - inside the passenger compartment or under hood fuse box ? Do you know how to use a volt meter an wiring diagram to find electrical problems ? You have a direct short to ground or fuse #37 wouldn't blow. Underhood fuse box fuse # 37 is for the park lamps .Supply's B+ voltage to the daytime running lamps module an the headlamp switch plus 37

Park, Tail and Marker Lamps
The park, tail and marker lamps, including the license lamps, are turned ON when the headlamp switch is placed in either the PARK or HEADLAMP position, or anytime the headlights are requested. The PARK LP fuse in the underhood accessory wiring junction block. When the headlamp switch is placed in the PARK position, battery positive voltage is applied to the park lamp circuit. The parklamp circuit then applies battery positive voltage to the DRL control module and to all the marker, park and tail lamps. The front park lamps are grounded at G101. The rear park lamps are grounded at G302. The license plate lamps are a part of the rear park lamp circuit and are grounded at G302 The inadvertent power control feature prevents the park lights from remaining on more than 10 minutes if left ON. If the park lights are turned ON after the ignition switch has been turned OFF, or is in the ACCY position, they will remain ON until turned OFF or the battery runs dead.

I have a 2000 Chevy Malibu that won't start. We have changed the battery four times this year. It runs fine and then I park it on my days off and then the remote won't unlock the doors, car won't start,...

Hello Vicky...
Your Malibu has what is known as a parasitic drain...It could be a stuck relay, trunk light staying on, or a direct short circuit.Something in the electrical circuit is not turning off when then ignition switch is turned off..
You will need to perform a parasitic draw test to determine the cause and correct the problem to keep the battery from draining,

Good luck...i hope this helps

MY BATTERY DISCHARGES AFTER 3/4 DAYS PARKED

My 1992 Park Avenue had a timed relay that shorted out. This is the one that allows you to have the radio on etc. until you open the door. It shorted closed and discharged the battery. It took awhile for the shop to find the cure but once they replaced the relay all worked great.
