Snow means the TV isn't getting any signal from the channel. Try doing a channel search in the settings. Or, if you're typing in a channel, put .1 at the end of it. Like instead of going to channel 3, go to channel 3.1.
this is not a problem from remote control. You must adjut the TV program go to the MENu, run the scanner, for add the program TV.Try to reach you supplier TV cable for explain then, if there are not problem witht the receiver box.
however if you need to reset the code program go for free download:
www.fitness.manualsonline.com or www .remotecodelist.com
What's the model on the TV? Can try to look for the manual online. Might be worth a shot to try a capacitive discharge (unplug power, try to turn tv on a couple of times while power is unplugged, plug back in and try again). That may reset it.
Can also try going in the menus and rescanning for channels.
Check the tuner input mode it has (air, cable, hrc, irc) with new stations updating to HDTV the demodulation at the tv sometimes looses the color burst sync. I have seen this with more and more tv's with pip tuners , it resets to the default of air ( rabbit ears ) at 75ohms and the low band snow, when you go to the high band (56+) it finds the color sync and resets the vestigial sideband offset, it happens more often if the SAP or CC is also trying to aquire the proper offset. good luck.
