Question about Goodman CKL24AR24 Air Conditioner
My A/C stopped blowing cold air. So I went to my side yard and check the air conditioner compressor fan was not working. I've check the wires and seem to be fine, I can hear the compressor working but fan not spinning. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance
Do you have a meter? Either the fan is bad or the capacitor is bad. Ohm out the fan and then the capacitor. Be sure you take the disconnect out of the electrical box on the side of the house and or trip the breaker off. The capacitor is a dual run one side operates the compressor and one side operates the fan. I would really bet on the capacitor being bad. Have seen that a lot in my experience. Be sure to make note of the wiring of the capacitor before you take it out to check and if you are not sure how to check it take it to the parts house and they can check it.
