If this is the only circuit not resetting, and no other section of the home is on this circuit, it is possible that the circuit is defective due to the storm or sometype nof overload on that circuit. However, if you remove the circuit, look at the bus where the breaker was attached and see if it is pitted. Also check if the breaker is fitting securely and not moving. If this does not solve the problem, there is possibly a wire that has come apart, in which case the circuit has to be traced from the panel to the master bedroom.

You should have power in the room however, as the overhead lighting and the outlet circuit around the wall is usually separated. So there shoulde be some power in the room. If not more than one circuit is out and in which case you may have to enlist an electrician.

Hope this have helped you with your problem.

Circuit breaker is fine but still no power on one bedroom. PG&E said it might be a bad plug/outlet.

Turn off the circuit breaker and locate the plugs that are on that circuit. There is a good chance that the problem is between the closest working and faulty outlet. Starting with what appears to be the last working outlet on the circuit, check that all the wires are secure in all the fixtures and outlets.
If that does not fix the problem, a varmint may have chewed through a wire inside the wall. If you do not have experience with home wiring, you should get an electrician.

Main breaker can't be stitched back on after neighborhood power outage in our home, yet all the neighbors have power except us! Why are we the only ones without power?

You're trying to load the entire house on the main breaker all at once. There significantly less stress on the main breaker if you start it like this:

1) Shut off all the circuit breakers.
2) Turn on the main circuit breaker.
3) Turn the other circuit breakers on, one at a time.

Good luck!

Our electricity went out for a few minutes, and since then the TV will not turn on. The green light is flashing. We tried resetting it by pushing a pen point into the reset hole, but it does nothing. ...

Your power outage may have been caused by a nearby lightning strike, or any number of
1000 different reasons that cause power surges, brown-outs, voltage spikes, inductive loading,
and/or utility pole breaker trips and resets (this accounts for your power loss (a pole breaker trip),
followed by restoration of power (the pole breaker automatically reset) - even plain old high electrical demand causing an overload due to air conditioning demands caused by hot weather.
When the pole breaker reset, your TV caught a power surge.
Whenever a power outage occurs, quickly power off (or better, unplug) any/all computers, TVs,
etc. that are not protected by surge-protection.
As an electrician, when someone loses an item of electronics concommitant to an electrical
anomaly, its almost
always traceable to a nearby lightning strike (or the power company provided equivalent), accompanied by inadequate surge protection for
the VCR/TV/Computer/Stereo/uninsured valuable electronic item/XBOX 360/Nintendo Wii.
Surge protection can
be provided by the consumer at the power strip (a good one with builtin MOV protection and a
warranty costs $20, whereas a zero-protection 4-outlet or 6-outlet power strip will cost $4-$5).
Your electrician can provide whole-house surge protection where a whole-house MOV-based (metal oxide varistor) surge protector, or per-circuit protection can be installed with
a GFCI breaker (or better, an AFCI breaker) can be installed.
GFCI = ground fault circuit interruptor
AFCI = Arc fault circuit interruptor
Lightning protection is especially important in Florida, which is the "lightning capital of the world."
I've never found a good solution to lightning-fried electronics (random power supply components are destroyed and/or fuse blown), other than renters insurance or homeowners insurance.

Your only real hope for an economical fix is to look for a blown fuse, and replace it.

If desperate to attempt a fix on your own, you could try replacing the entire TV power supply as a module, but even this provides
no guarantee of a fix - lightning damage can extend beyond the power supply.
When traveling, I will always unplug everything before I leave (except the security system),
and also turn off the breakers to unneeded house circuits (which kills the wall switches that
control interior lighting - forcing a burglar to use their flashlight instead of interior lighting)
which is the least convenient lightning protection, but highly effective, and cheap (free).

Why using a telephone during a lightning strom is dangerous?

Hi

Lightning routinely gets into copper telephone cables during storms and can overwhelm the fusing protectors at your home and enter a telephone set, causing a lot of immediate damage to the telephone and the user.

Lightning can travel from outside your home to inside your home—and to you—through materials that conduct electricity, including electrical wiring, phone lines, water, and plumbing. These safety guidelines will help minimize your risk.

If you need to use the phone corded phones are dangerous during thunderstorms. Lightning traveling through the telephone wires has killed people. Cell phone and cordless phones are a safer choice, but stand away from the cell or cordless phone's power base

Hope this will help you.

I have a circuit breaker that is intermittent

It is unlikely that those temperatures would cause the circuit breaker to shut off and come back on intermittently. (If the breaker trips it has to be reset manually.) It is possible that the breaker is defective internally or that there is a loose connection in the wiring. If you are not knowledgeable about electrical work you should have an electrician check it out for you.

The electric power to my house was temporarily interrupted, and since it was restored my Modern Maid wall oven has not worked. The timer and griller work, but the wall oven does not. Does the oven need to...

The timer is 110 volt, and the grill may also be . The oven, however, is 220 volt. Suggest you check your main circuit breaker box and reset the breaker set marked "oven" or something similar. This would be the exterior breaker box where power comes into the home.

Color messed up on tv since lightning strike

your tv may have ben magnetized by the lightning strike.
tv's have an automatic degaussing circuit that demagnetizes
the pix tube when the set is turned on. this degaussing circuit
may not be working or magnetism may have been too strong for
the internal degaussing to correct.
contact local tv repair shop in your area see if they can manually
degauss your set , it should be a min. service charge around $25.
