How to replace 250686 module

Hi all,   Had a repairman out - wanted too much to replace this module (>$450). I found the part online for abt $75, but want to know if it's something a fairly handy novice can tackle himself. Anyone have any input? Better yet, can anyone point me towards a repair manual for an RCA P46921?   Thanks! Steve

I have sound but no picture

I have fixed many rear projection TV's with this problem. It's most likely the convergence chips/board. Which would require either you to replace them (About $75) or call in a repairman to fix it. (It can get real steep, real fast! About $350)

Check this manual to see if you can test your convergence:

Hitachi 65F598, Horizontal Distortion

You might can get you a schematic for the tv and troubleshoot it yourself, if you know how to use a multimeter. Check the voltages at the horizontal outputs, voltage regulator. I get mine at and they are the factory manuals at a low price, you download them to your computer

Hi I have a Mitsubishi ws-65615 65'' tv. I gat the green flashing light. I chainged the 4 capacitors, disconnect the front panel but still not want to work, still have the green light. ???????????????...

On the DM module where you replaced the capacitors there are three small white pico fuses. They are on the opposite site of the board. I would jumper all three by crimping a small piece of copper around them. Put the module back in place without its metal box around it. Plug the tv in and wait about two minutes. If the flashing light is off, turn it on. If this works, remove one of the jumpers. Continue until you have found the faulty fuse. Either replace or jumper the fuse permanently. When you put the DM module back in permanently, if the tv once again gives you the flashing light for more than two minutes, then the DM module is simply not setting properly into all of the pin locations.

Screen turning blue and looks like it needs to be heated up (wait awhile) before comes back with bluish but with picture

Hi my name is Roety,
I can help you with your issue ,
Most likey you need the Blue CRT replaced.
A repairman would charge about $450 to replace it
Voltage checks and a visual would be needed to determine exactly what is bad in your TV

you have a bad digital module, if you pull the chassis out, the digital module sits on the left standing up inside a ground shield, remove the module, replace the 4 1000microfarad at 16 volt capacitors with 1000 mic at 25v or 680mic at 25v, solder in the new capacitors, put it back together, it works, you may need a tv repairman for this.

Blinking grenn light want come on.

you have a bad digital module, when it is bad you get a constant flashing light that won't quit, if you have some skills, remove the digital module, replace all of the 1000 micrfarad at 16 volt capacitors with 1000 mf at 25v, or 680mf at 25v, this will fix your problem. you probably need a qualified tv repairman to fix this.

The green power / timer light keeps flashing on model WS-73713 mitsubishi

when the light constanly flashes, you have a bad digital module, in most cases you can remove the module and replace all of the 1000 microfarad at 16 volt capacitors in it, some have 4, some have 7 capacitors. that usually doea it, but you probably need a repairman.

Convergence module

To start on how to dissasemble the whole thing I went to but this was for my philips 60 inch TV, the process is the same, you need to open the back of tv then start numbering all the cables it was for me about 22 cables & then remove the chassis out, then you will see two stk's 392-120??? or depending for your model may be different these are 2 black modules, also when they burn out usually 2 resistors will burn as well you need to check their resistance with a multimeter. It's easy you can get a multimeter at a near Electronic components store I found it on the yellow pages for my city the stk modules are $8.50 & the resistors are .25 cents each I spent about $35 dlls for the whole thing cause I had the mulitmeter & solder & the ironing solder You can buy everything at try to buy everything you need online only one time cause they charge around $7.90 dlls for shipping so take advantege on ordering all together I made the mistake I ordered the stk's modules & not the resistors but I found them like I said in a local Electronics components store.
P.S. the stk's are more expensive at Ebay, good luck
