Question about Freestyle Mongoose Bmx & Owners Manual - Bike / Bicycle

Loose/ broken bracket axel

The bracket axel has come out, unable to screw or force it in.
Is there a way to remove the pedal? Can the axel be stripped?

Do you want to remove the left side pedal? Try turning the pedal bolt clockwise. It may have reverse threads. The bearings on the left may also have reverse threads. So to screw them in, you would have to turn counter-clockwise.

    Good luck,

Are you talking about the axle that the pedal rotates on that screws into the crank arm that the gear is mounted to or are you talking about the axle(bottom) bracket that goes through the frame of the bike ?

How do I change front drivers wheel bearing on mitsibishi colt equipe 2005

Take off the brake assemble meaning remove the roater caliper clean any dirt off the control arm and axel mount take down the upper and lower ball joints then pry them down to allow the axel carrier to pivot down then there should be three bolts behind the bearing remove those and rent a barring puller from autozone then apply the puller to the barings and they should come out this May require a press installer or as in removing the barring you might have to use some wd-40 to spray on the back side of the barring and some hits with a sludge hammer to break it loose if the puller isn't allowed to force the barring out simply and to re assemble it is just the opposite also grease the axel shaft and make sure the surface is clean before installation and use anti seize on all screws and ect this shall help you out

Replace rear tail light on ford focus wagon 2000

abar_a.gif?v=77611 Remove two screws and rotate to the side

To remove the rear light assembly for access to turn signals and brake lights:
1) Open the trunk to expose two screws.
2) Remove these two screws.
3) There are two brackets still holding the housing onto the car. Do NOT pull up and do NOT pull up on the housing; you will break the plastic pegs on the lamp housing.

4) Referring to the driver side lamp housing and facing the back of the car:

a) You can see these pegs and brackets on your left hand side if you pull the light housing GENTLY outward. The pegs are pointing into the vehicle from the left side of the car and stick into holes. There is also a spring bracket holding the housing on where the screws are.

b) To remove the housing from the brackets, push/pull the right side of the lamp housing outward and to the left. Do this carefully so that you do not break any of the plastic pegs. What you are looking to do is detach the housing from the spring bracket, and then push/pull the pegs from their holes. You are simply rotating the lamp housing out of the brackets.

Simply mirror instructions for removal of passenger side housing.

Replacement:
This part is a little easier. Line the pegs up with the holes, and then push gently to line up spring bracket with it's hole. Then, push with a little force to get the spring in the hole. Make sure the pegs are in their holes or else it will be crooked and loose.

Take your time! You do not want to break the plastic. It should eventually come loose. With any plastic on your vehicle, be careful not to force it. Good luck!

How do I remove the brake light stop switch from brake pedal?

disconnect the battery negative terminal from battery. depress and hold down brake pedal, then rotate the brake light switch about 30 degrees in a counterclockwise direction and remove it from the mounting bracket. unplug the electrical connector from the switch and remove the switch. to install new switch, grasp the new switch plunger and pull back until it ratcheted to its fully extended position. depress the brake pedal as far as it will go, then install new switch in the bracket by aligning the index key on switch with the slot at the top of the square hole in the mounting bracket, rotate the switch about 30 degrees to lock the switch into the bracket. gently pull on brake pedal until the pedal stops moving. the switch plunger will ratchet backward to the correct position. do not use excessive force when pulling back on the brake pedal to adjust the switch.

I want to remove front axel driver side please

Basically, you loosen the axle-nut (could be pretty tough, so spray some lubricant on it) and the wheel nuts. Jack up the car and support it on jack-stands.
Reomve the brake calipers and tie it up to frame. Remove the two bolts holding the struts bracket and steering-knuckle. Push down/sideways to separate both strut-bracket and steering-knuckle. Use large screw-driver or pry bar to pry off axle from side of transmission. Block-off transmission fuild with a nylon rag or similar; take out axle-shaft. Installation is reverse of removal.

How do i change the rh diff axle seal on a hyundia accent 2002 auto

place the vehicle on a lift (preferred) and remove the RH front wheel. Remove the driver axel retaining nut (1 1/4" nut) and washer. Remove the lower ball joint retaining nut (17mm nut). Using a 10 oz hammer, strike the nuckle where the lower ball joint is attached to it (be careful not to strike the grease boot) while applying downward force on the lower control arm until it pops loose. Once loose, pry down on the lower control are while simultaneously moving the strut to one side untill the joint is clear/away from the knuckle. Now remove the drive axel from the the spline of the hub bearing. Using a pry bar, pop loose the axel from the transmission differential. Installation of the new axel is in reverse order.

Most short shafts just require a pull. Jerking works better than pulling.

Shifter sloppy, having trouble getting it into gear.

There is a bracket with two torx screws that gets loose. You need to tighten that. You will need to remove the plastic and metal shield under the dash, above the brake pedal to see the bracket. Look up above the brake pedal and wiggle the the shift lever and you will see what needs tightened. Worked for me.
