Go to your nearest dvd video hire store. They should have a thing called Disc wizard which cuts down the plastic on the disc so the plastic with scratches gets cut off in a layer. Civic Video, Video Ezy, and Blockbuster have them, but it depends on your location.

My video game is noy working on the 360 the game is gears of war2

The most likely cause of this is that you have a dirty or scratched disk-

  1. Try cleaning your disks using mild soapy water and a microfiber cloth.
  2. If you notice lots of surface scratching then use a DIY scratch removal kit, or visit your local game store which will probably offer a similar service.
  3. If your other games aren't working properly then you may have a faulty Xbox 360 console. Try the disk in a different console to see if it works.

Got a game cube for my son. inserted a game and it says no disk. we blew in the cube and made sure the games aren't scratched. still says no disk. what do you think we should do next?

Well there seems to be something wrong with the eye of the disc reader in the game cube. It looks like a White little orb in the center where the disc goes. You have to buy a special cleaner for it. And use only a certain type of cloth. Ask your local video game shop if they have some. just call them and I am Sure they would be happy to assist you.

great game, and it might be able to be fixed.go to a games store and ask them to buff your game.there is about a 50% it will work.you could also try it on a friends gc and see if it works.just to see if its your system.you could even ask the games store their opinion and if they can test or scan it for you.great machine scans a disk an tells the readibility of a disk.

My gamecube wont read my game disc

Its either the game disc or the lens of the gamecube. Try cleaning the disk or try another disc. If the cube still doesn't read the disk your lens is probably scratched in which case you would need a new gamecube.

GameCube Disc Scratch

There is only one recommendation I can think of but it may damage the disc forever so do it at your own risk. With that said I have done this with about a 50% success rate.

Game cube not reading disk

I have a game cube that does the same thing. I open it while it's turned off and put my finger on the eye and slide it back and forth a few time. It works after a few tries. I think the gears that move the eye are wore out.

The game won't read the disk

ok, either your game disc is scratched majorly, or u have a lot of crud caked onto it (or, the game is an illegal copy, in which case, it probably wont work). So, what you can do is use something like Dawn soap to clean it off and make sure u get off everything. If that doesnt work, rub chapstick onto the cd and smear it ALL OVER, but make sure u get the excess off before trying to put it in the drive. This should fill in the "cracks" or scratches on the cd and allow the game to work.

Game Cube will not read disks. Please help!

you can clean the disks using tap water and then drying with soft cloth have you tried a lense cleaner to clean the laser on the cube get a good brand one not a cheap one also you can buy a disk cleaner that gently takes the scratches out of cds and gets them as new but you will have to shop around to get one but these work on anything cd dvd games the lot so deff worth having one as lots of people throw out dvds cd and games due to the scratches stopping them working but remember the data on a disk isnt on the plastic it is on the layey the other side of plastic the plastic is their to protect the data getting damaged so removing the scratches does not damage the disk if you have scratches this will affect the disk because the laser cant read through the scratch so polishing these scratches out will make the disk as new not many people know you can do this so consider yourself having privalaged info hope this is some help to you but you might have to ask arround for a disk repair so good luck you could even charge people to repair their disks and games this works for anything on a cd style disk.........................................................

Two cheap and easy fixes I can think of that MIGHT help, short of opening the unit, would be to get a can of compressed air, and spray around the fan area, and the disc bay. also use a clean swab dipped in alcohol, and gently clean the laser lens
