Processor burned up - how to get programs off the hard drive?

We took our panasonic DMREH50 in for repair and were told that the processor burned out. How can we get the recorded programs off the hard drive without paying the $250 to have it repaired?

Got "Premium" solution - could not get stuff off the hard drive, but not because of lack of help. Vortash was very helpful and patient. We are just unable to resolve the problem. We believe the information on the hard drive is proprietary and so Panasonic may have to do it for us.

Dell inspirion 1545 respond slow and shuts down even when on the desktop

The most probable, as far as I know, the hard drive is dying. Please test the laptop with a healthy (or brand new) hard drive.

Computer not responding at all

If it burnt a new HDD then the problem could lie somewhere on the mobo. If it's still under warranty, i'd suggest RMA. Otherwise, you will have to take it back to the computer repair shop and listen to their suggestions.

What are processor, memory and the harddrive

processor are for the speed to operate board and all the other drives cd rom or dvd or hard drives video cards and ram.ram takes data from drive to store in ram to use what it needs to work with programs. hard drives hold all the data that is needed to work the computer and software.

My celeron r 915 1.7ghz is working too slow

To speed up your processor, you need to take some load off of it. Search through all your TSR programs and services to remove things you do not need or want.
Another way to help your processor is to add more RAM to your motherboard. Find out what is the maximum you can put on the motherboard and load it up.
You can also reduce the size of your swap file. That would reduce the amount of time your processor is downloading data from your hard drive. A real processor time waster.

Processor died on ibm desktop. any way I can get the info from the hard drive or the hard drive itself onto something else?

Simple. Remove the drive and install it in a similarly equipped computer as a slave drive. What I mean by this is your drive is either a IDE drive (wide gray data cable) or a serial SATA drive (no wide gray cable) - the receiving computer would have to be of the same type to accept the drive

Before you do this ... who told you the processor was dead? It may be worth taking to the Big Box Store for a Free (as advertised) computer check up.

Your A50 doesnt lent itself to upgradability - I dont think I would put much into it to repair. However, you may be able to find a used replacement processor for a reasonable price.

Motor bussing sound system slow

have a look at the fan on the processor if its running slow it will be making that noise so your processor is over heating and in turn making your pc run slow. replace this fan now. if your processor overheats too much it will burn out.

TV Screen pauses, looks like a puzzle, then starts again..................???

Your problem is in the digital video processor circuit. This is a hard puppy to trouble shoot unless it happens all the time. Most of the sets I have seen do this, the main video processor IC is drfective and the repair was around 3 to 4 hundred bucks.
