Question about Pioneer Avic-940bt Car Navigation Cd/dvd Player Pandora, bluetooth, Ipod Control
Distorted sound at a volume of 25 or greater. worked really well before. not sure when i lost the power. it is in a suburban with bose system. bypassed the park brake sensor and fixed the overheating issues. Now when i turn it up it just starts to distort. I put the old unit in and it sounds great, so its something with the deck or settings.
Sounds like distortion is being caused by trying to amplify a low volume level from the input device. try putting the ipod volume at a medium level and try again to see if the distortion goes away/reduced

Sounds like a faulty / worn fader. If it does it on all channels then look at the master fader 1st.
A good source of parts is available here :-
