Question about Sony PlayStation 2 Slimline Console
My son bought a seconde hand PS2 after his broke. he plugged it in and it is not spinning nor can I tell if it is even getting power. I pushed the reset button which seems to be the only power button, although I could be wrong. Is it suppose to light up? He bought it from a family down the road who said it worked fine the last time they used it. I have no problem taking it apart if I knew where to start. Please help.
On the back there is some plates. Take off 6 (i know there are 8 but 2 of them aren't worth the trouble, theyr'e the corner ones close to the front) then pull of the top. Pretend the top is still on. There should be chip right behind the power button. If there is one push the white button and hold down the black lever on the top. If there isn't a chip you have to order one from sony.
