Hi,
Do this, first disconnect your memory into motherboard slot and then power on your PC. if you hear repeated beeping means no memory installed, the motherboard work fine. try to insert again your memory. if your memory are two pcs. insert only one memory and then power on again your PC. (only one by one insert memory for testing so you can trace if one of your memory was defective).
Try this,
Motherboard beeping troubleshooting guide.
(Note: before touching computer parts like motherboard, memory, video card and specially hardisk the very important parts of PC. discharge your static electric into floor ground or the case of your power supply. need also external PC speaker. if no onboard PC speaker ).
No beeps means short circuit, no power, bad processor, open parts or defective parts specially capacitor parts.
See this sample picture of capacitor leakage and defective.

One beep means everything is normal the motherboard work fine.
Two beeps means cmos bios error and defective.
One long beep, one short beep means motherboard need tracing defective parts specially capacitor.
One long beep, two short beeps means videocard problem need tracing of parts CPU and blower fan for working good, also capacitor parts for leakages.
Three long beeps means keyboard error some key press stock up or modules parts defective.
Repeated long beeps means memory not detected, loose of defective
Continuous Hi-Lo beeps means CPU overheat or loose blower fan with heatsink into motherboard chassis.
Try this solution for your motherboard troubleshooting solutions.

Hope this information can help you.
Thanks for using fixya

Hi.

Try clearing the CMOS by either the CLR_CMOS jumper which should be marked on the motherboard or remove the power cord from the PSU (power supply unit) and then take out the BIOS battery for 20 minutes. Put the battery bac k in and see if the motherboard will fire up and display.
While you wait make sure the CPU's (both of them) are seated properly and also make sure that the RAM is seated properly in the slots.

Good luck.

Hi my mother board is working but after 5 mintues it turn's off why its got 2.00gig of ram and anew power supply please help. Thank-You John

1. make sure that all motherboard fans are working especially the CPU fan. the motherboard shutsdown when it reaches a max temperature.
2. maybe your power supply is defective.
3. make sure that the CPU heatsink is properly seated in the processor

When I turn on the power, the fans start to turn but then quit after a couple seconds.

hi,

i,d suggest CPU/Memory or motherboard Fault.
try removing 1 stick of memory, then re-boot. ( if theres 2 In )
remove the cpu fan, Check for Dust Blockage, remove CPU. And re-seat-seal-replace Fan. ( re-boot )
remove power from Case ( mains power ) remove side panel, locate CMOS Battery ( Silver coin-Cell ) On motherboard for 10 Seconds, then replace, repower and boot up.

Any of these could resolve your problems.

No boot screen have 2 gb ddr2 memory nvidia 9600 gt e 8400 cpu

If all your parts are tested in another computer then I would say it could be your motherboard. Double check your memory to be sure it is comparable with your motherboard and reset the CMOS jump or pull the battery on the motherboard to reset the BIOS settings. If it will still not boot then I would look to the the motherboard. Do you get any beep codes at all when it powers on?

If you get no beep codes at all and the fans turn on but no display then it would be an issue with your motherboard or CPU. If you have tested the CPU in another machine then that only leaves your motherboard. Be sure you carefully re-seat any component in the system and double check your wires. But, if you are not getting a beep code this is almost always the motherboard.

Looking for Replacement CPU

Hey,
Ebay is your best choice http://shop.ebay.com/items/_W0QQ_nkwZSocketQ20478Q20CPUQQ_armrsZ1QQ_fromZR40QQ_mdoZ

Or you can also look for new ones, or other parts from www.newegg.com
I recommend both places highly, very good experiences with them myself.
Thanks, Ekse

A7V8X NOTHING HAPPENING,

When a power supply goes out the way yours did, it's going to fry the MB 99% of the time. So you're going to need a new MB. It's possible that you CPU is ok, but that could also go too. I would replace the MB first, then the CPU if that doesn't work.
