Question about Homelite Mighty Lite Lawn Trimmer
I am so mad! The pull cord on my homelite trimmer pulled its entire length out, did not start, and now it wont recoil! I there a way to fix it? Or should I just try to take it apart?
And like Jimmy said, "loosening" the cowling will allow the rope spindle to retract past the locking arms that meet the spindle.
Sometimes, remember the opposite is true (even if brand new).
When the spindle is TOO loose, it will sometimes get hung up on those same locking arms.
Most of the time, that is why a "smack" to it's face will work wonders. That and just tightening up your mounting screws.
I just got done with my Zip Start, and that was part of (many) the problem with it. Too loose (plus the rope broke, TWICE).
