How to recover Excel lost file

How to solve some troubles with excel files you may learn from- http://www.filerepairforum.com/forum/microsoft/microsoft-aa/excel/481-%E2%80%8Bexcel-files-corrupted

How to Recover an Excel File for Free

1.Check the Recycle Bin--if you've accidentally deleted the file, it should still be there unless you've emptied the bin, and you can click on the file and recover it.

2.Use the Auto Recovery Pane when you open Excel. Review the document recovery pane. If Excel has managed to recover your file, it will show in a separate pane on the left-hand side. Identify your document in the pane, then click on it and choose "Open" to open the recovered file.

3.Try manually repairing the file. Click on "File" in Excel 2003 or the "Office" button in
Excel 2007, then select "Open" and click on the arrow next to the "Open" button. Click on
"Open and Repair" and choose from two options: click on "Repair" if you want to try to completely recover the file, or click on "Extract Data" if you previously tried Step 1 and it did not work.

4.Search for the file manually on your computer. When performing a system search (click "Start" and select "Search" in Windows XP and Windows 2000, or press the "Windows" button and "F" key in Windows 7 and Vista), make sure you choose "Advanced Search Options" and then check the "System and hidden files" check box. You may be able to find your missing or corrupted file using this search: double-click on the file name in the search results to open it.

Cursor and keyboard movment responds very slowly

Does the slow movement of cursor and keyboard seen only on excel? Given that your excel is not corrupted, it just could be the file size of the worksheet you are working is too big. But if the slowness is present even on small excel file, you may consider re-installing your excel.

But if the slowness is present even on other application, then the problem could be on your pc itself.

My excel sheet is opeaning very slow about 30 40 sec

there could be several reasons for that:
1. do you have links pointing to another excel/website/folder/db query? if so- it is probably trying to import data from it. the most common is to try and import data from another excel sheet- you need to have that excel open before you open this on
2. what is the size of your excel file? if it's big- try to see if you can break it to several excel sheets.
3. what type of hardware do you have? do you have enough memory?

can you provide more details?

Exel files slowly open

Hi Sahil,

This can be difficult to resolve on the first pass because there is so many things to consider. I have no idea what your experience with excel or computer maintenance is. All my training in industry has told me is go for the "low hanging fruit" first (try the easiest stuff first).
1) When did you last defrag your computer. That can be a fast easy fix. I don't know what your operating system is but you may have a defrag program included as part of the system.
2) How much memory do you have installed and if you have added some did it match what you had installed because memory will run as fast as the slowest stick installed.
3) Any other programs running in the background? My antivirous program is scheduled to scann at specific times when I would normally not be trying to be productive with my favorite programs. I have all the memory installed that I can and if my antivirous program is running and I try to do something else my system tempts me to persue fishing instead of computing just so I could use my machine as a anchor.
4) Do you have an infection of malware to contend with? When has the last time been that you scanned your system for system leaches.
5) was there a specific time that the software slowed down and if so what was done to the system at that time. Can it be undone?
6) Are you the only person on the machine?
7) Just how slow is slow? My machine takes 2 sec to load excel - 5 sec to load a spread sheet that I have been collecting data on stocks for 3 years but is a rocket processing the data and developing the individual graphs that is responding to the macros commands.
So is your expectations of the program realistic?
Investigate your issue and try to reason out what could be going on. Collect more data about your system so I can better guess from wayover here.

Evenif this is not what you wanted to hear please don't forget to rate the answer. I can always learn from your opinion of the service provided.
Thanks
Glad to be of assistance

i wold check your RAM on your PC to see if you have enough, also when you are working with excel are you making scans of your pc with your anti virus ? this could slow you down. I would suggest that you get "tune up utilities 2008" as this can give your pc a good clean up and speed up.
