You likely have a blown power board in this model. If you can open the back of the TV check the power board as a centrally located board that connects power to every other board. The caps may be blown in the primary and or secondary lines. Replace the caps with the exact spec's and make. This can be a $10 fix and save a lot of grief. I did this on all my TV's and they work now for at least 5 years longer.

Hi! My name is Chris. I have this Phillips Wide Screen TV that didn't have or come with a remote, so I had to go out and buy a universal remote for it today from a BIG W Store. I'm having some technical difficulties & problems with switching and turning it on, but as I use the universal remote to turn on the TV, I'm having a bit of a slight problem with it turning it on, Ok, Yes, it works and Powers on, but there is nothing showing or giving me the indication that there is no picture or sound showing up on this Wide Screen Phillips TV, But there is a little red & green light at the bottome right hand corner that keeps on flashing red when ever I use the universal remote to switch the power on. Is there a possibility, that i can get some help on here, to help me out with any suggestions, is to why I'm not getting any picture or sound showing up on this TV with this universal remote ?
Is there anyway that i can maybe get some help with this to help me out with solving my issue with the Phillips Wide Screen TV ?

My toshiba TP48E60 model projection tv won' turn on, power light just blinks

Blinking of power LED are fault indications. Count the number of blinks occur at one time switch on. For this number, you can get an idea about the faulty section circuit inside it. It will make troubleshooting much narrower. If you wish to get more details about the blinking codes, check this link. Pull up older posts there.

Main board to your TV is faulty. Check the chroma and video processing section. In most cases, it will be due to an IC fault.

Green timer light won't stop flashing on mitsubishi ws 73711.

the green light blinking is normal if set has been unplugged--when set is plugged back it should blink for about 70 seconds and then go out--then you can try to turn it on---it is the DM unit inside the set booting up.

If the light just blinks and never stops you have likely bad caps in the DM unit---there are kits available for that.

The other possible reason is that so called reset switch may be bad--fairly easy way to find that out and it is more common than you would think, let me know if you have questions.

My plasma tv won't turn on only the light

Blinking light usually is a error code if blinks a certain number of blinks and the place to begin is to look for a bad fuse or bad puffed up caps inside on the power supply board--place to begin.........

Panasonic tv powerlight blinking,tv turning off and then back on, now it won't turn on at all, blinking green light goes red and it shuts off completely

My TV surname off after 5-15 minutes of use. The red light in the front blinks once every 3 seconds continuously. If I hold the power button down on the tv, it will turn on and do the same thing.

65" mitsubishi rear projection tv won't turn

IF model number posted is correct and green power light comes on for a few seconds and then goes off:
On front of set press and hold both the Menu and Input (device) buttons at the same time for at least five seconds and release both buttons.

Power light will then blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks, 2 blinks, a pause and repeat it several times.

Let me know what error code is found and I will tell you what it means.

The red "on" light is blinking and the TV

a suggestion: unplug set and try to turn on again; if power light blinks does it blink in a sequence?

3 blinks repeated will mean a problem in the Convergence area.

5 blinks repeated will mean a short on the 140 volt line.

These are the two most common error codes.
