Face plate came off...not sure how to properly adjust...
Moving in to new apartment and the electric wall mounted heater was on even though the thermostat wheel was to off position. Took off faceplate and now in a mess.
Large central 'disk'...half side is silver and half of the side is painted brown. On the silver side is a hole (so that it can be rotated and a screw accessed at the top that I guess helps hold the item in place). The brown side when viewed with the cover on, shows where the temp is supposed to be... With the cover off, what is the position that the wheel should be in so I can replace the cover and get an accurate reading...
Inside of the face plate is the following info
Singer Cat No 7169

More information is needed. Brick wall is inside apartment... what is on other side of wall? Open existing electrical box. Drill through back of box and drill through wall until you come out on other side of wall. Install new box #1 on wall where drill comes out. Run conduit over to another new box#2. Drill through wall again until you come out on inside brick wall where you want to relocate original box. Install new surface-mount box#3 on brick wall. Then run wiring from original box. Original box cannot be bricked over or covered with building materials since it is a junction box where wires connect. Other option is to install extension ring on top of existing electric box. Run conduit across face of brick wall. Install new box#1 where you need outlet. Other option is to chisel away the brick and mortar from existing electric box down to floor level (or over to door frame). This will allow recessed conduit that can be concealed with matching mortar. Then run conduit across to new location. Cover conduit along floor with baseboard, or chisel out brick along floorline to accommodate conduit, then mortar over conduit. Or simply paint conduit to match brick. You must use conduit since wires cannot be run openly. Gene

INSTALLATION - ADJUSTABLE
All vehicles will be equipped with an adjustable crankshaft position sensor. This can be identified by an elongated mounting hole in the sensor. NOTE: If the removed sensor is to be reinstalled, clean off the old spacer on the sensor face. A NEW SPACER must be attached to the sensor face before installation. If the sensor is being replaced, confirm that the paper spacer is attached to the face of the new sensor Crankshaft Position Sensor and Spacer
Install sensor in transaxle and push sensor down until contact is made with the drive plate. While holding the sensor in this position, install and tighten the retaining bolt to 12 N·m (105 in. lbs.) torque.
Connect crankshaft position sensor electrical connector to the wiring harness connector.
Attach connector to heater tube bracket.
Install speed control servo. Tighten nuts to 9 N·m (80 in. lbs.) torque.
Electric heaters should not give off anything to make the paint go black , paint will change colour from the heat over time . I would say make sure there is nothing behind the heaters causing this to go black .
Ask where you buy your paint they can advise on paint that will not change with the heat .

If you are getting suction through the cleaner, but it is not moving around, you probably have wings or shoes improperly installed. If the pool cleaners shoes look worn or are not installed properly, this will happen. A copy of the users manual is below. Check to make sure that they are installed properly. You might also need to adjust the rear tension flap. Finally, even though you think your suction is good, make sure that there are no obstructions or leaks that would cause movement failure.

don't know the whirpool duet cos i'm in uk not us. i assume your machine is a front loader places to look for heater are remove back plate and look for heater at bottom of rear face of tub sometimes heater is mounted on front plate of tub in which case tilt machine backwards and see if you can see heater mounted towards bottom of front face. most likely place however is on the rear plate of the tub
Make sure that the heater is mounted where convection currents occur freely. When heat builds up around the top of the heater its temperature will rise uncontrollably. You'll be luck not to get a fire.
