Question about GoVideo Go Video DVD/VCR Combo

Disc Tray Will Not Eject

I have a Govideo VR4940 DVD Recorder + VCR. I placed a DVD on the disc tray and hit the eject  button on the remote which closed the tray. The DVD would not play. So I hit the eject button on the remote to eject the tray but the tray would not eject. I pushed the eject button on the recorder and the tray would not eject. The instruction manual says not to remove the cabinet cover as I may be exposed to dangerous voltage. How do I get the tray to eject?

I can't find Govideo on the internet. I guess they are out of business.

Thanks. Hope you can help me.

Re: Disc Tray Will Not Eject

Just next to the eject button on the actual recorder there should be a tiny pinhole.  If you use a small paperclip and insert it, then push, you should be able to manually eject the DVD.  Hope this helps!

GoVideo DVD/VCR combo has a disc in it, and it plays, but I cannot ejecti it. I tried turn off machine and restart it but it still doesn't eject. It keeps reading the disc and plays the program.

there is a belt which is driven by a motor to open or close the tray. u place the disc on the try and the try loads the dvd/cd into the mechanism. the belt is loose & needs replacement. you have to open the cover & find the belt on the mechanism & replace with slightly shorter length of belt.

I have an RC100H that keeps opening the DVD/CD tray as if it does not read the disc. Even if I have no disc in it the tray opns and stops. The only way to keep the DVD Tray closed it to hit the close...

eject belt propably worn out, does not close lid proper - so ejects back. change of belt solves problem.

DVD tray will not open. Lock is not on. I have tried unplugging the unit then plugging it in again. What do you suggest?

I think your DVD player is trying to read the disk, but it can't. Try unplugging the unit. Holding down the eject button and plugging it back in. After it begins to to power up you can release the eject button. What your wanting to do is to get it to eject before it tries to read the disk. Good luck.

My DVD tray will not open, and with no disc inside the display says 'reading' constantly. Any thoughts?

The DVD player in model DRC8295 uses a magnet to pull the Disc tray up into position. You can open up the front disc cover and push down slightly on the Disc tray and then push the open/close button to eject the tray. I had to do this on my unit and therefore I recommed leaving a Disc in it at all times. I leave a "Bad Disc" in mine and it opens/closes with no problems.

Go Video DVD will not eject

this suggestion made on this forum worked great for me.
I don't care if it does sound silly.. smack the unit smartly over the eject tray when you press the eject button.
