Question about Acer Aspire 3000 Notebook
The model is suggested to have a "Crystal series" sound card, one link provides older drivers. http://www.acersupport.com/desktop/aspire/html/v70ma_dl.html
Extracting them to a separate folder, letting XP see if it can use them is one solution. Otherwise, see if your model is listed here.
http://www.acersupport.com/notebook/index.html and follow the steps to get XP drivers.
