Question about HP Printers & Copiers
Printer is not printing blacks at all. All blacks on the printout are not black at all. They are very light or faint blue or purple. I have taken all the printheads out and cleaned them. I have run the printhead maintenence on them with the printer itself cleaning them and no such luck. The black cartridge appears to have plenty of ink in it and the auto diagnose of the printer itself does not indicate that any cartridges are empty. I've ordered a new black printhead by mail order but I have not received it yet. When I run the maintenence menu the diagnoses is that the Black Printhead is @ 80%, Cyan 100%, Magenta 90%, Yellow 100%. How do I fix this? Please advise. PRW
I had this same problem. HP worked with me to solve this problem for over a week. I jumped through a hundred hoops....all to no avail.
The bottom line ended up being....Buy a knew printer because it would cost more to ship and repair the printer than it is worth. A fifty dollar turn-in fee was made for up-grading. I did this because there is no solution when the printer refuses to align itself so it can print
from the black cartridge.....sorry johnfleff
