Question about Motorola Mobility V551

1 Answer

Text messaging Is there any way I can turn the "autosuggest" letters feature off for text messaging? When I start a message, and type a letter, say "s" it gives me by default a bunch of words, and I have to hit delete to move back and delete those particular letters, but it makes texting really slow. It's probably not a serious issue, I would just like to disable this feature. Thanks!CR

Re: Text messaging

Hit # to toggle through the different modes... however, if you get used to using the 'autosuggest', it'll make things faster, and as you use it, it'll start to learn what words you use more often. just hit the key for whatever letter you want, and then you can cycle through suggestions, probably with up and down on the dpad, or take the suggested word with right.  you don't hit multiple buttons to get the letter you want, you let it guess for you.  so, to get 'hello', you press 43556, instead of 4433555555666.

Can i turn off the qnotes feature

Your messages are set to 'word' and you want it set to 'alpha'. If you have your user guide this info is on page 45. Here's how to do that. If this helps plz rate this as 'fixya'. If you need more help leave a comment & I'll be happy to help. Thank you kindly.

You can enter text into your phone using the traditional method of pressing a key several times for each character, or by pressing a key once for each letter while words likely to be the one you want are chosen from a database. You can also enter symbols and numbers into a text field. In screens that require you to enter text, you see the following icons. These icons tell you which text input mode you are using: When you access a screen that requires you to enter text, you start in the mode last used.
To choose a text input mode: 1 At a screen that requires you to enter text, press m. 2 Select the text input mode you want to use. A checkmark appears next to the current mode.

Hi, Hi-Tech people! I got a Motorola RAZR V3, my problem starts when everytime I press the keys to type a HANGS. Once it HANGS, I can't type anymore and continue the message I suppose to write. It wont move no more. It just STUCK-UP right there on the last letter I'd pressed. I have to take-off the battery at the back to re-start the unit again. Then, start typing again...same thing happens. It just HANG by itself and I can't press other keys no more.
