Question about Kitchen Ranges
Frigidaire Electric Range, Model Number: FEF455WFBE
Turned on one surface elements. Heard a pop and saw a spark between the element terminal end and the terminal plug. Turned off. All other surface elements are working.
The elements terminal end has a small hole. Tried replacing the surface element but it did not heat up.
Checked the terminal plug. The wires just at the terminal end look frayed and burnt.
Want to repair myself. Terminal plug kits come with wiring but before I start I would like the wiring schematics, that is were does the wire go to and how do I get there> Is there a step by step guide with schematics?
HI, The wire that comes with the receptical also comes with wire nut and instructions. It is only a two wire receptical so you will not ned a schematic. Alos, make sure the ends of the element are clean (no burn marks) or it will ruin the ne receptical in time. Can I help further?

Hello friend, thanks for your post!
I understand that you would like to clean under the cooktop on your Frigidaire range. Could you provide me with your model number please? You can locate the serial tag (which lists your model number) on the storage drawer on the right hand side. With this information I can better assist you. -Matt
