Somehow i dont think theres anything you can do for it, judging by what you said, the overload was way too much for the screen

so, solution, get another screen, and get a decent surge protector, might not do much but it may prevent this from happeneing again

hope this helps

I have a Tevion 32 inch LCD (Model LCD3210id ), purchased from Aldi stores about 4 years ago. The screen has started flickering and it is making a slight crackling sound from the back. One, has anyon

Those sounds would be either your power converter/supply inside the TC or/and faulty cabling inside that has been worn out resulting in noises and flickering.

L246WH Monotr makes a sizzling noise and flickers

Safety note: For best safety practice, unplug the unit immediately. If you want to try and diagnose and/or repair it yourself, at least move it to an open area free of anything that could flame up in case of sparks or a fire.

Mr. McLellen could be correct about the failing solder joints. Since the symptoms increase as the unit heats up, I suspect it is more likely an electronic component failure. The specific symptom you describe is common in transformers with electrical shorts or with a cracked frame. Insects may also be the cause. Some are specifically attracted to warmth and electromagnetic fields. To rule out insects, take sample whiffs around the vent holes on the back of the unit after it starts crackling and flickering. Electrical burns are distinct from most other types, especially roasting critters.

A few months ago my LG Flatron L1900R monitor started flickering when I boot up my computer. It has become worse, to the point where it now flickers constantly.

From the information desribed, this means that your CRT monitor is going dead. Unfortuntly, there is no way to stop the flickering unless the monitor was replaced. I hope this has helped

The tv looses audio completely, the screen flickers followed by a crackling sound. Any idea what repair it needs? is it junk?

You have a problem with your high voltage section(flyback transformer). That crack you hear is your high voltage(12k+)arching to grd. This trans. supplies voltage to diff. sections of the tv.That is why your audio is affected. That particular section has to be inspected by a competent repair person.

Flickers and crackling

This problem could be caused by bad capacitors or cold solder joints in the power supply circuits. The unit needs to be taken to a service center for testing and servicing. Hope this helps.

Not sure what model but there is a coil on some LG LCDs that needs to be replaced on the SMPS.

Cracking noise and flickering screen

Sounds like you have a bad flyback Transformer...Crackling is high voltage leaking. I would quit turning it on and replace the main board in the set if you are good at soldering you can replace the flyback transformer but cost wise it is easier to replace main board. 20" might not even be worth the repair.
