Question about E-Machines eMachines Monitor E15T4
My LG crt monotor started crackling and flicker continuosly after there was a voltage overlod in the whole area. Some Television even lost their disply. but in my case my monitor started crackling and flickering....
Any body plz help me what sorts of things should i change in it. if any body knows plz help
Somehow i dont think theres anything you can do for it, judging by what you said, the overload was way too much for the screen
so, solution, get another screen, and get a decent surge protector, might not do much but it may prevent this from happeneing again
hope this helps

Tips for a great answer:

Safety note: For best safety practice, unplug the unit
immediately. If you want to try and diagnose and/or repair it yourself, at
least move it to an open area free of anything that could flame up in case of
sparks or a fire.
Mr. McLellen could be correct about the failing solder
joints. Since the symptoms increase as the unit heats up, I suspect it is more
likely an electronic component failure. The specific symptom you describe is
common in transformers with electrical shorts or with a cracked frame. Insects may also be the cause.
Some are specifically attracted to warmth and electromagnetic fields. To rule
out insects, take sample whiffs around the vent holes on the back of the unit
after it starts crackling and flickering. Electrical burns are distinct from
most other types, especially roasting critters.
