Re: moved and now my comuter wont do anything

Try reseating the memory.  I have moved computers and 9 times out of ten the memory came loose.  So just take out the sticks make sure they're not too dusty then put them back in.

Dell dimesion wont turn on at all

So it doesn't power up at all? I'm only asking because you said it's not the connection.
If it doesn't power up, open the box and reseat everything, something may have come loose during the move.

I had my comuter for three yrrs and my computer wont turn on

This could be any number of problems. does anything happen when you press the button, if not then the power supply has most likely died. if it turns on but doesn't boot window the it could be the motherboard or hard drive might have died. Is there any ore info you can give me?

My Dell XPS 200 was working fine, I undid all the cables and moved it off the desk and moved the desk to new spot in room. When I set it back up it will not power on now. I did not drop it or do anything...

If you system is not giving any power signal, then I suggest that you try with any other cable to connect it with power. had there been any problem with your system then it should give some signal or sound. The problem might be with the power cable or the power port of your system

The recovery CD just created a black screen

if your comuter still boots(which it should)... repeat the process again. sometimes errors happen with older installation disks.

Does the power supply have its own power switch?

It is located next to where the power wire plugs into the back of the PC.

No Power!!

Double check the switch in the back of the pc on the power supply. If their is a switch, you can try it in both positions. It is possible their is no switch, older compaq's are iffy. The switch will be black. Also check the 110/230 switch. I don't know what country you live in, however you may need to make sure that switch is in the appropriate spot. 110 for USA and 220/230 for UK

Also, try unplugging your pc. Let it set for about 1 minute. Plug it back in and try again.

Won't power up

Have the same issue..When I shutdown or power goes out I can not power puter back up..Power LED on back of unit below cord flashes..I found if I opened up unit while plugged in and pulled main harness of of main board and slowly pluged it back in a few times LED would eventually stay on solid green and unit fires up..Have had this issue for about 1 year and really doesn't bother me anymore now that I have the trick to start...

Could be the power supply I was told but who knows..
