The plastic handle is made in two parts. If you look carefully you will see the seam, pry it apart there. I used a butter knife and started at the bottom. It is not really easy and will feel like it is going to break but it does come apart. When the top half is off you will see two phillips screws that hold the lower half on the pot, tighten them!

My Krups coffeemaker has stopped brewing a full pot of coffee. I fill the reservoir completely, but when the machine is done brewing, 1/2 of the water is still in the reservoir. The fill indicator shows empty, and if I turn the machine back on to complete the brew, it acts as if it is empty. The half pot that it makes is fine, but I don't know why it won't make the whole pot.
I love this coffee pot and would love it even more if I could set the timer for it to make coffee in...
