pre-installed driver making it impossible to boot windows all I get is various blue screens, I have the choice when starting up of repairing my pc which I choose, but it fails to repair and the only option is advanced options I then select command prompt as all the others are useless as I have'nt made any backup disks, but I do not know any prompts that can help. selecting booting windows normally is blocked with a blue screen.
I tried F8 safe mode and all the others which results in a blue screen after a few minutes, I have entered Alt + F10 for erecovery but cant for the life of me remember the password the hint seems totally obscure.
any help would be trully grateful.
john.

"not D2D system, eRecovery cannot be installed" please solve my problem for acer aspire 5720G
Comment by Panag, posted on Mar 04, 2008
Hi. I recently bought an acer aspire 5720g that came with vista home premium. I repartitioned my hard drive and deleted the pqservice (hidden) partition. After that i installed vista ultimate and then I tried to install acer erecovery but i got the following message: "not d2d system, erecovery cannot be istalled". D2D recovery is enabled in bios and i haven't any recovery disks. Acer support site says that erecovery needs a specific partitioning structure to work, so i thought that creating a partition with the same size as the pqservice partition (around 10 GB in my model) at the beggining of the hard drive erecovery could work. So i use acronis disk director to do that but i have the same result. Please tell me if there is a way to install erecovery. Thank you in advance!

I have the acer aspire 5610z and i tried to restore to factory defaults then did not work, then i tried to use the acer recovery disc, then acer said i need to download thier iso file and burn it to a disc before recover, how exactly step by step do i do that, i have tried over and over but i must be doing something wrong because it still doesnt work

Restored to factory default with computer and it could not get past step 11 of 12 and then i started all over with the disk recoverys that i burned when i bought the computer but maybe something is missing on them because it did not get past the same step after i tried it again, maybe i was supposed to do something else, is there a disk so i can use my computer again because the screen just stays in the middle saying install step 11 of 12 erecovery solution, thanks for any help

I forgot to mention - Windows wiped out all my system drivers too. While the reinstall of Vista now recognizes the camera it can't install it and the keyboard driver is for a Microsoft 102 key, which this isn't.
I used PARTEDIT32 to view the partitions. I know the "hidden" partition has not been overwritten. I just don't know how to get the original system back which is what I want.

I reinstalled Windows Vista and it wiped out acces to all my Acer EManagement software. I ordered Recovery CDs from Acer but don't know what to do with them since I can't access Acer eRecovery.
I tried GodSpeed's solution - I get this at f10
Edit windows boot options for: Microwoft Windows Vista
Path:\Windows\system32\winload.exe
Partition: 2
Hard Disk: 6b6b42bb4
[/NOEXECUTE=OPTIN]
Partition 1 is where the hidden files are - can I edit the previous info? I'm using a 5610Z that came with Vista Premium

Hi! I have an acer aspire notebook model 5610Z which I bought this past may of 2007, now I´m having problems with being able to repair and recover my operating system on it, when I turn it on it makes a clicking sound have checked to make sure there´s not a CD in the CD drive and there is no way I can even access my desktop to be able to run the e-recovery program. How can I repair this problem? Your help is greatly appreciated!
