Question about Acer Aspire 5610-4648 Notebook
Send me an e-mail and I will send you the fix! If you can't downloadload it from the below link. I had the same problem. The mbr was replaced, you have to add RTMBR.BIN to the MBR and it will work again. As long as you can get on your desktop and run this bat file you will repair the D2D again. Took me an hour to learn what was wrong, It works 100% though. I have the Aspire 5610Z with the 2GB 533 mhz memory Stock.

Subject: ACER RECOVERY 2010
Hello, world everyone. Now i'm new acer engineer for the new first time. I'm deaf... So please everyone must not comment any volience and etc. If anyone is volience then I won't help you for whatever.
I want to share us about how to install Acer Empowering Management to work OOORRRR wanna all the system factory restore back like if you bought and purchased only ACER laptop...
Easy... PLEASE FORGET ABOUT PTEDIT32.exe and ACER MBR for ALT+10 repair for ''D2D' enabled.
Please be sure if acer laptops must be sure to check if the ''PQSERVICE'' where it is been hidden about 10GB. Please leave it alone for whatever. If you try to open the pqservice partition with the PTEDIT32.exe so it may damage. Attention please don't delete and format the ''PQService'' from the hidden partation.
Easy. Please backup your all important datas and documents to the external drive or burn on the CD before you want your system factory get back.
If you have OEM or illegal Windows 7 or Vista CD. Please boot it with DVD. Don't worry about it if you reinstall... (Forget it)
Easy, if the windows vista or 7 is loading as startup from the bootable DVD.
Select '' Repair'' on the Windows bootable if it is loading the setup startup.
Go to open the windows command prompt from the system repair
Step 5 ( Final)
Attention *** Be sure if you have PQSERVICE on your hidden partition for ONLY ACER...
Step 6: Be sure the command prompt drive must be volume of letter ''X'' that's why the PQService had been hidden with secret of the volume drive. E.G
Please don't change any volume letters like C:\ or D:\ or E:\. Forget it...
Step 7: TYPE '' d2d32.exe'' then it will startup the Acer Empowering Recovery Manager for restore all the system factory from the PQSERVICE's hidden partition stored.
Goodluck! Enjoy!!!! Ho! If you have 64bit then type ''d2d64.exe' that's all.
If the system factory will be restored most's everything like,'' NTI Maker, NTI, Backup, Acer Acrade Deluxe, much more.. and drivers will remaining. DON'T WORRY or STRESS..
I hope you must not download your laptop's driver from the Acer's website. DON'T WORRY!

go to http://www.sysresccd.org/Download
download the iso and burn it to a cd.
boot your computer with it
read the explanations coming up on the screen and when you see that you can choose how to start, type "wizard"
choose the top choice (auto)
when it starts right click on the desktop and start GPARTED.

choose manage flags
set it to Boot.
