Question about Fuji FinePix A340 Digital Camera
mine is Fuji Digicam A340. When i switch on the camera, it shows "Card Error". But on the screen i can see what i am shooting.I am not able to take photos or view the photos that were taken before.
Help me on this please !!!!!!
Looking through the lense or at the live view panel does not require the same functions as a capture.
The fact that you can see an image should indicate that you have power for the device, but be sure you have fully charged the correct type of battery (see your User Guide to check the requirements). Not all batteries are the same, even if they are the same size. Check to see if your camera requires NiMh, Lithium, etc, and that you have the correct type inserted.
Next, storage cards can go bad, but usually this happens only after a long period of time (years), or if exposed to a magnetic force of some kind.
You can try a few things to resolve it:
1. Try reformatting the card, if the device can process data on it.
2. Insert the card into a card reader on a PC to see if the drive can be read. If you can read the card, remove all data and empty the trash, then reformat it.
3. If you get an error on that as well, replace it.
It's not worth risking that you might lose your valuable pictures to unstable media.
